Another good example of how classless the new england patriots really are. I admit that I am a die-hard Colts fan, but I also admit that the patriots had one of the greatest offenses that I have ever seen. They were not good enough to win the superbowl that day, but that gives them no excuse to bail out of the pro bowl. They were voted on by the league and its fans and they should have showed equal respect by showing up. However, they again show the lack of class demonstrated not only by their coach, but their entire organization. Who said the patriots didn't have the perfect season? 18-1 with a loss in the super bowl is perfect to me!

I don't believe for one minute that Brady's injury was for real anyway. And if it was, if he was cleared for the SB than it wasn't that bad. He should be at the probowl.

The only reason Randy and Tom aren't there is because they lost. Plain and simple.

I liked Peyton's comment as stated in the column.
"Excusing yourself is not an option". It was a well deserved, pointed statement, to those spoiled brats in Bean Town.(The coach is even worse) What a jerk. As others have stated ... CLASSLESS!

he sits out meaninless regular season games but plays in this game with the games best players trying to get to him. Tony should think this over, let the young quarterbacks play this game not peyton, He is way to valuable to play in this game. If tony allows peyton to play in this game, then i dont want to hear, he needs to set players out of meaningless games.

I agree with all of you! Tom Brady has absolutely no class or, even if he had a slight injury, he would have made an appearance, played for one play, then spent the rest of the game on the sideline cheering on his teammates. Peyton Manning has more class in his pinkie finger that Tom Brady will ever have!

Rick you are a fool it is NOT up to the coach whether or not a player has the ability to play in this game. It is up to Peyton, he wants to allow his fans to see himplay one more time before August camp starts. Everyone already knows this game is meaningless, but it is different than that of a preseason game, it is a SHOW and a SHOW only. THere will not be any serious firing out from the defensive lines not much IF ANY blitzing from the defense. Come on Rick grow up and realize it is an exhibition.

There are different rules for the Pro Bowl to protect players from injuries. Peyton will be just fine.

Tom Brady and the whole Patriots team should be ashame of themselves, not showing up for the Pro Bowl because you lost. CLASSLESS will follow your team for along time. For all the trash talk and prefect season and records you guys broke this year, What a way to end the year and season. This is really not a good example to the New England youths, whom my look up to the NFL football players. Shame on the entire organization for that. The players who were voted to play in the Pro Bowl should have been there. Next year maybe we will be smart enough not to vote a one of you guys in.

since when were football players ever be concerned with the communities they leech money from?
all that charity work is basically pr for the nfl.
there might be a couple here and there that think about "the community".

I have to admit I think Brady and Moss should have played as well and it shows a lack of concern and respect for their fans who I'm sure would have appreciated seeing them play one more time this season.
I'll also say though, to constantly call another team and their players no-class and to use expletives, derogatory names and taunts in the process shows a lack of class in itself and gives other teams and their fans reason to think we're all a bunch of idiot jerks.
Case in point would be the IU/Illinois game this week. That crowd and organization came accross as a unruly, mean, violent mob the other night. Not because it's true about all or even most of them. But because a few jerks on and off the floor put that face forward.
I'd like to see this select few vocal Colts fans act a little appropriately here and elsewhere. Every word you speak represents us all and has an effect on how what we say is received.
I don't believe being hateful has anything to do with being a fan.
Go Colts!!!!!

In your heads a bit?

The article is about your teams starting QB in the Pro Bowl and 15 of 17 posts mention the Patriot's.

WHAT? Get serious!! These comments,(except a couple), were nothing compared to the Pat's fans all year. They were trash talking on and on. Was this your first read on this forum/postings? Sure.... we are "rubbing it in". They DO deserve it. IT IS what it IS.

What is in our heads is the joy that your cheating, arrogant team got what it deserved last Sunday. The Giants pummeled your QB, stole your thunder, and handed you a 17-14 burger. How's that taste?
Your coach may well be suspended for an entire season when this whole cheating thing gets fully exposed. How does it feel that there well could be an asterisk next to all three of your titles?
Have a nice offseason.
