Listen. Indiana has for Generations been known as a basketball state, a car racing state, and football fell WAY down the flagpole. When you have men like Jim Irsay, Bill Polian, and Tony Dungy put together not only a winning team but a winning system like they have; bringing football to the upper echelon to not only Indiana, but to the country How can anyone complain about the job these men have done? I am a Colts fan not only because they carry themselves with more character than any other team but also because in a world of player swapping and free agency and salary caps we seem to be able to win without letting go of key personnel.

Nice analysis but the future is NOW. It may hurt them a little down the road when these guys get older but I'm sure Polian knows what he is doing.
Very good post and well put. No one is getting younger and the Colts are one of the few elite teams in the NFL.

What have the Pats done in the past 3 years. Its about what have you done lately. They choked against the Broncos, they choked against the Colts, and they choked against the Giants.
But, they do hold the record for the biggest fine levied against a team. They also hold the record for the most consecutive wins in a single season WITHOUT a SuperBowl.

They have had their share. To their credit they let Rhodes and Doss go and the issues have been kept to a minimum.

I was giving more credit to the fact that ownership and personnel has taken a football team in a Racing/Basketball oriented city and built them to their current level while retaining players and drafting well. That is quite a feat under the salary cap era we live in.

Gee,'BET-is-short-for-Betty', I hope you get another blow-up doll to replace the Brady model you wore out. You sound like you're about to explode into a million, stinky little pieces!
And that would be a shame....

We all know what you've been strangling there, Delbert.
So, they have an early release program there in Costa Rica, do they? Or did the little boys not show to testify at your trial?

Dallas Clark deserves this contract. If not him, it would be someone else getting the bucks. I am proud of this outstanding young man from small town Iowa, who also represented the Iowa Hawkeyes well. Go Dallas !!!!!

Quick note...Keaiho wasn't a rookie this year. You might remember his monsterous hit on New England running back (can't recall his name, former Cincy player) when we were at New England which has been a year or two. I believe that was his only start or one of two during his rookie year. But, never-the-less, he had a helluva year and should be a Colt for a long time.
Thanks TD. You are correct. I hate making that kind of stupid mistake [blush].

Dallas Clark led all tight ends in touchdowns. He was top 5 in receiving yards and receptions as well. And yes he got a lot more passes thrown his way because Harrison was injured, but he still had to catch them. Let's face it, not everyone catches a vast majority of the passes thrown their way. As far as his contract goes, and all NFL contracts in general, the years are add on for salary cap purposes. In most cases not even half of the money is guaranteed, and very few players actually play to the end of their 5, 6, and 7 year contracts. So will it come back to bite them, NO. They still have room to sign some great athletes. Harrison's career might be over and it would be wise for the Colts to sign Randy for 4 year - $38 Million with $15 million as a signing bonus.
