these two were great choices in the draft, but to get both of them in the same draft is even more amazing, these two are going to be forces to deal with for years to come. I like what I see out of the Dolphin draft picks, especially these two.

Maybe it should be the other way around...Torbor ought to be bringing Langford & Merling doughnuts, cause Ive only seen him in on one play so far, and I think that was on special teams...GO PHINS!!!

This is shaping up to be one of our best drafts EVER. The last draft I remember with such instant impact rookies is when we took Richmond Webb and Keith Sims in the first and second round. If Chad Henne turns out to be a franchise QB, then this may be the best draft for any team ever. Long is holding his own, Thomas looked like a diamond in the rough before his injury, these guys are contributing, Bess we stole, and we even got a kicker. Wow.... To think that next year we will have a full assortment of picks including an extra second rounder we picked up for JT (who is injured)...

What a difference from the off season disasters that preceded this. If Wilford would just come around.

Can somebody tell me how many picks we have next year, and in what rounds?

Agreed, if Thomas was healthy, this is BY FAR the best draft of '08. Time will tell, but if Murphy and Henne become starters, this would be one of our best ever.

Can't wait for next year...DB's, WR's, and LB's please!!!!!

At this level, we know that these two rookies can play and play well. They haven't played their best football yet.

And if we still had JT on the team, these guys wouldn't be developing at the rate they're developing.

Winning against the Patriots showed me what this team is capable of doing. But let's not forget that we're rebuilding a team that was 1-15 last year and many of the players are just beginning to get to know each other and gel.

Playing the Chargers is a big test. I'm looking to see how well the team can play after coming off a good win and a bye. It's good that the team played well and aggressively in getting that badly needed first win. Will the team keep growing and improving or have their erratic inconsistent struggles?

The Trifecta's rebuilding plan is moving forward. The rookie talent crop from the draft is very good as we've seen in Merling & Langford.

But the best thing is that I believe that this team has the chance to win every game that they play even when they're big underdogs. Shula began instilling a winning mentality in the Dolphins 38 years ago. Today the Trifecta is rebuilding that winning mentality after taking the beating it has in the recent past.

This is the best rookie class the Dolphins has had in a very long time. Anyone agree?

This is the best rookie class the Dolphins has had in sometime. Anyone agree? Maybe next year draft, with one #1 and two #2's and #3, we can draft a stud WR, CB, and Safety.

I too am excited about this draft, and anyone from Schenectady is alright with me. But best draft ever? I'm giving that one to the Steelers in 1974.

They got, Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth, and Mike Webster in that draft; and signed Donnie Shell and Randy "the Rabbi" Grossman as undrafted FAs. Not too shabby.

Just like I said last week, if we pull out a win against the Chargers, we will finish above 500. As far as anyone wanting the 1st pick again, forget about it...The Raiders can have that prize, besides we dont need to pay that kind of money 2 years in a row. After seeing how BP&Co. did in the last one, I have all the confidence in the world they will find us a darn good player in the middle rounds...GO PHINS!!!

I shudder to think where the Fins DLine would be this year without these two. Great picks for sure, and much needed.

Now, lets hope we get 4 new starters next year with the first 4 picks, or at least three in rounds one and two. The Trifecta will pick smart, but luck is always involved too. It is always a guess as to how a rookie is going to adjust to the Pro game. Even a round one or two talent. But as Fins fans, we know that...J Allen, Avery, Yatil Green, Ted Ginn and on and on.
