Award or no award, he has done a fantastic job.

One thing about the Fins though, we've had a very favorable schedule. Repeating a 10 win season next year is going to be difficult.

If he loses the next two games to Tweeps like fanfan frisco and Da Chiefs.
Then his chances are slim to none.
If he wins those two and loses to the JETS then i think he deserves it..cause nobody expects him to beat da JETS BABY!
Cause we got Man-Genius!Burp!

Sparanos done a great job and the coaching staff has been excellent.
I think you have to throw in Parcells as executive of the year also.
Bonemego hasn't been that great.
That's the negative because they emphasized it from the beginning and never really made it a top unit.

I agree, even though they made special teams thier priority they failed in that area which makes sparano's success dimmed somewhat.

Hopefully with another Jets loss and Phins win the NY pukes will learn that once again their place is in the cellar and not on this board.

No way... The Falcons have had a half descent team up till the Michael Vick saga... Now you guys got an even better QB and BAM you are winning again... I say you will get rookie of the year or maybe even MVP for Ryan, but coach of the year, forget about it...GO PHINS!!!

I dont see Parcells wearing a headset on sundays and calling the shots from upstairs. Here we have another perfect example of someone who cant stand it that we are winning again. Whatever happened to Ted? We sure could have used him this season...GO PHINS!!!

I think Tony deserves it but it makes me wonder if the sports writers will give Tony credit or will they say it the Parcells factor i feel Tony has earned this honor he has done a great job with what he was handed

Are you kidding??? The Fins lucked into one win last year. Now they have won nine games with a nearly completely rebuilt team similar to an expansion team. Cam's team, even with the soft schedule, would have been lucky to match last year's record.

Tony's a Shu-in to win coach of the year

Tony gets my vote. The Dolphins have the same record (9-5) as the Falcons, and the Dolphins were 1-15 last year compared to 4-12 for the Falcons.

Parcells took over a 1-15 Jets team in 1997 and made them 9-7 the following year. At 9-5, Sparano is a lock to at least match that feat, and he's a ROOKIE head coach. Parcells had already won two Super Bowls with the Giants and taken the Patriots to a Super Bowl before he took over the Jets.

I think making the biggest turnaround in NFL history, especially if the Dolphins win out, finish 11-5, and win the division, then Sparano HAS to be the favorite to win Coach of the Year.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Leo

The atmosphere is highly combustible today, with people getting in a stew over the smallest little thing. You will also have a tendency to get hot under the collar, especially if someone isn't doing things as quickly as you'd like. Try to stop yourself getting in a rage because once that happens it will be difficult to cool down again. Maybe you need some fresh air?
