Dolphins fullback Reagan Mauia charged with simple battery

Dolphins fullback Reagan Mauia was arrested in Weston early Friday on simple battery charges, stemming from an altercation outside the Carolina Ale House.

If this incident occurred exactly as stated then this offender should be banned from professional sports as this is NOT simple battery, two people arguing over a parking spot, etc. This might even rise to aggravated battery, a felony, if the fullback is powerful enough to seriously injury his innocent victim. Being hit so hard as to be rendered unconscious probably results in some permanent and/or serious injury.

Attacking a completely innocent person in a public parking lot is way outside the "normal" range of human aggression. If the Dolphins retain this person and he attacks anyone again the team will be looking at serious liability.

They are losers who pull stunts like this, get a slap on the wrist, and then the team keeps them on.
