Full story: TwinCities.com

The Vikings' coaching picture might be unclear on offense, but a hall of famer is helping secure the defensive side.

Good hire. Singeltary will add a little fire to the defense.

They aren't going to produce much offense, may as well try to build the best defense they can. Why don't we find a better defensive backs coach? Our secondary has been in the toliet for well over ten years.

I think this will definitely help our linebackers play better. I've always wanted our linebackers to play with more fire, more like the baltimore ravens group. With singletary on-board this is one step in the right direction. I can see players like Brinkley and Erin Henderson really thriving with the direction of Singletary.

I agree that our secondary sucks but I think that has to do more with terrible safety play rather than secondary as a whole. Also with Cedric Griffin who I think is our best man coverage corner out, that's a big hole to fill. We definitely need to find that other starter opposite of Griffin though since winfield looks to be the nickle now. Hopefully Chris Cook can be that guy if not we need to find someone else. I think vikings need to draft a QB 1st round and Safety second round this spring. Then offensive line 4th and 5th round since chilly made sure we weren't gonna have a 3rd round pick.

It is Time to Trade the old players off for more draft picks. Guys like Winfield That was out of more games then he was in, He took way to long to heal because of his age & that is why the Vikes moved him to nickle no other reason then he has lost more then a step. You start by trading off a player that still tradable & that Winfield & others like him on the team. Lets not take 3 years to rebuild. Go Vikings

We went through the eagles coaches, pucker players and coaches, and now former bEaR players as coaches.
When we hire Millen, I'm moving to LA, lol.

Singletary should thrive in this role. Head coach was probably too much for him under the circumstances in SF (Big problems at QB, among other things), but in the tightly focused area of LB coach in Minnesota I look for him to really do well.

This is a good hire for the linebackers, though I'm questioning the title of assistant head coach. While this is a good hire, the team lost out on a great Offensive coordinator in McDaniels who has opted for St. Louis. The assistant head coach title seems more nepotism than anything.

Interesting thought- but an assistant head coach could be a valuable role if approached the right way- sort of a bridge between players and head coach-(although the players have commented already on how approachable Frazier is)

Mike can suit up if we get short handed...his guidance will be a boon to our LB corps if they will listen...his intensity will be a welcome addition to the mundane sideline.....

Secondary play is also most dependent upon the push the D-Line gets...all zone defenses breakdown at the 3.5 second mark, D Line needs the magic 2.5-3.5 second push, and get the qb to move his feet laterally or backwards not up in the pocket..the diminished production from the nose and three technique tackle killed the T2 scheme the Vikes run, making an already suspect secondary even more vulnerable.

I find it interesting that Da Bears and various Puker supporters keep monitoring our Vikings site even though we had a 6-10 season. Could it be that they are nervous because they know that we're really not that far away from kicking their sorry butts again?
Keep looking in the rear view mirror boys. Oops we're not there. Look ahead. Those are purple exhaust fumes you are choking on.

You donít have time to post here, go unravel a gaggle of pucker fans on some dweeb site specially made for this yearís version of the NFC title game.
You had a chance to beat this team and keep them out of the post season, but no....
Now it's come back to bite you, don't disappoint me again.
