What's wrong with Willis? Yes, he is obnoxious, and me first and all that, but so are most jocks. The thing is he seems to have given up. It's up to the coaches to get some spirit back in the guy before this Saturday because we really need him to play like we all know he can. He is a really good back when he wants to be. Give the kid about ten cups of coffee before the game, tell him you've kidnapped his mom and she won't be let go unless he runs up a storm. I mean he has to play well, cause we only have one other back available. MOTIVATE him.

(Maybe the only way to motivate a selfish and childish guy like Willis is to take away one of his Bentley's or his fave gold chain. Do that then. Freeze his salary, but get the kid playing!)

In ans to the question would the Steelers have gone for the FG at the end the ans is yes they would have because everyone in the whole world and the Steelers, except the Refs Know that the Ravens stuffed them when they went 3-1. Ooops sorry maybe they woulda gone for it knowin that the refs would just give them that one too!

Steeler fan here. I agree with a good deal of your statements regarding the conservative offense. I think your first 4 offensive plays were runs then punts when the run didn't work. Your defense is stout and with you all, it's always about field position. Flacco will be fine, he just needs to mature a little. It'll be interesting to watch the game this Saturday. If I were you, I'd be concerned with how Flacco handles their front 4.

We'll take care of the Ravens. You take care of the Steelers. Chug that Iron City junk, and dispose of the bottle you-know-where.

pdm,

People like you are why Ravens' fans are seldom respected outside of Maryland. However, I will agree with your first statement.

<quoted text>Couldn't agree more. Flacco had a bad game but consistently putting him in third and long with conservative play calling didn't help him out. The few play action passes we threw on second down worked great and gave Flacco a couple extra seconds in the pocket. Why didn't we do more of this. Also, why didn't we run a few screens and safe slants in the beginning of the game to get some offensive rythym and get Flacco some confidence. We played scared on offense the whole game and scared on defense that last drive. That, and not the terrible officiating, is why we lost the game.
I agree run, run, pass, punt put the Pittsburgh D into too comfortable a rhythm. Also Willis McGahee needs to step it up this Saturday or in the off season consider doing with JO and Steve McNair did.

I thought 4th quarter defensive play calling was too much Prevent. We stuck them for 3.5 qtrs only to transition to three down lineman against a good qb. Defense is our engine, but we played scared to lose. McGahee's hands look like two cement blocks.
I agree if we play with a prevent defense Tony Romo will only carve up our secondary like a Christmas ham. We need to show or execute some blitzes for all sixty minutes in Dallas.

We've had a very good season, regardless of the final two games. More important, we have a future.

Add a WR and a RB (to replace McGahee) and the O will be good enough. On the D, add a CB, and a DE, let Scott go, and replace him with one of our many good young LBs (and get another one ready to step in for Ray).

No, we aren't as good as the Steelers. How many of you thought we would be this year?

I can't believe Preston thinks McGahee is hurting the Ravens. Gee, Mike, don't you listen to all of those gems from the brilliant Anita Marks??? She says he's playing well, so it must be true.

He is like Grbac was-worthless. Cut ties and free up space for hungry baggage free football player. You know Hardball hates him so he has one foot out the door already.
