Is this article some kind of joke? Something to make us feel better after the Aints win a Super Bowl that should have been ours? Reality check: If TJoke is our QB we will be lucky to win 9 games next season.

Please just say no to T-Joke. Once has to be hitting the meth pretty hard to actually think that we could make a Super Bowl run with him running the team. Bad fundamentals, poor reads, no pocket presence, etc etc. Please spare us the B.S. about how he's "developing."

Jackson at quarterback, no Chester Taylor, and a fumbling Adrian Peterson seem to me to be a recipe for disaster. Not all the time, but when the stars align. It goes like this: Jackson is making boneheaded throws or is missing receivers, so the coaches turn to the ground game. Peterson can't hold onto the ball and they have no Chester Taylor to substitute into the backfield. At that moment the team is in disarray and implodes. It's a likely scenario in at least several key games a season. We need to beg Favre back and buy Taylor for another year. Then, if they can't do it, let the dream dissolve.

Are you serious? As long as Childress (12 men in the huddle AFTER a timeout) is coaching, this team will NEVER win a thing. He's a loser and a PATHETIC head coach. Look what he has done to AP. Sad. And by the way - he makes 5 million per year.

I was always a firm believer in the truth of the old saying “one man does not a team make” but after having Favre as a Viking, I think that statement may be incorrect.

this is no game anymore and hasnt been for a long while. every game is orchestrated by the nfl .they decide who win or loses .look what they did for failing franchises like the saints . NFL(NATIONAL FOOLS LEAGUE )all sports set up by league .you only win when they say you do.

If it can happen in the NBA, which I have absolutely no interest in or pro baseball (boring), it can and did happen in the NFL. I turned last nites games off when the colts were flagged for the out of bounds hit. The player commenced his stop from well inside the field to prevent the first down. I thought....here we go again. Saints got three points on that. As far as next yr? Too many fixes are needed I fear. But what does it do at the end of the yr.

We went 10-6 without Brett, remember?
The whole team isn't leaving even if Brett retires, but Ziggy isn't building a flash in the pan. The QB IS the most important position on the team, but Brett Favre is hardly the only person who can get W's for this team.
Another decent draft and we will be fine.

"If Farve retires.....McNabb,Hasselbeck, Tebow,McCoy"...yeah right.
Why do you think the other Vikes want him back?..because he is their best chance to
get back to the NFC championship game.First they have to get their OL better or he is
a glutton for punishment or the hits he took this year affected his brain.

What a load of cr@p! Favre was the team this year! You cannot coach instincts for this game! Either you have them or you don't! The rationale by this overly optimistic, Mickey Mouse fantasyland sports writer is on the lunatic fringe to believe Jackson is the answer. Without Favre you have the 08 Vikings with an aging or retiring defense. It is just hard to swallow that such junk franchises like New Orleans and the Tampa Bay have championships and the purple doesn't. Who's next on the SB charity give away? The Lions? Whatever........

Hey Klink, how about giving Favre the protection Bree's gets? As the previous poster stated, and I hate to agree but must, Klink just doenst have it to win big. I dont know what or who to blame for AP's decent into mediocrity, but I would start with Klink. The game handling at the end of the Championship would have gotten someone fired in the business sector.

The NFL is a passing league and QB driven, the Vikes have to have Favre! Jackson or Sage at QB and we don't even win the division next yr. That said, if we don't fix the back end(safeties)of our D and get rid of Leber (draft LB Weatherspoon or LB Washington)we will have to outscore everyone, and with TJ that is hopeless. Fire Bienemy, Fire OL coaches, change run scheme, find a kick-off specialist, Find a RG, send McKinnie and Loadholt to a speed/footwork development trainer. With NO winning last night they will host the first game of next yr on a Thursday night, guess who they will be playing????#93 for Saints...get your head on a swivel that night pal.
