Dunbar is only saying these things because he does not want to point the finger at Frazier or Klink, who are the two culprits.

Besides Sidney sticking a knife in the team, the defensive line is the most disappointing group this year. They play like a totally different group than last year, and it shows in the standings.
Did everybody go to Hattiesburg and sit on the porch singing dirges in the dark with Brett this offseason?

Jared is afraid to get a sack. He doesn't have a sack celebration that doesn't involve a knee to the ground . . .

The fundamentals have been atrocious. One on one tackling and blocking drills would work wonders but I'm sure some of the prima donas would feign injury to avoid it.

Amazing how coaching can make all the difference. The Vikes have too much talent on the D-line to have this little of an impact.

Jared Allen is the most overrated End in the game. The Williams wall has massive leaks, and the other end Edwards isn't showing up. Combined with a poor tackling secondary other than Winfield, linebackers that can't make explosive plays were terrible. The defense wasn't exposed last year because of a offense that actually scored and took leads. Now we know last year was an aberration. This D is pathetic.

Karl Dunbar, you are lieing your head off saying you think there isn't something wrong with both Ray Edwards and Jared Allen. Either that or you aren't watching the game tapes. Go back through the tapes and watch them again. "When people go one on one on Jared, the ball is going quick." Quick, long, run or pass they are not doubling Jared. They do occasionally chip him with a tight end but thats about it. They are NOT doubling him because they don't have to. He is giving up on plays and getting pushed backward by ONE lineman almost on a play by play basis. Opposing offenses are doubling Pat and Kevin, not the DEs. Jared Allen is becoming way too much of a liability in the run game. Teams are running outside and Allen can't contain or they run inside and blow him out to the outside. It is getting ridiculous. Jared Allen is/was my favorite player so I have been watching him like a hawk. Why is he bull rushing so much? Or does it just look like he is cause he cant get past the tackle on a speed rush and they are just locking up every play?
BS: "And Jared is as good as he ever was?"
KD: "Yeah."
How on earth can you say this? OR maybe you are just trying to say that Jared Allen has been way overrated?
If he is doing as well then how can you explain a total of ZERO tackles for a loss? Forget sacks, he isn't helping in any phase of the game. His one turnover, an interception via Aaron Rodgers, was thrown straight to him. Had he not been blocked towards the sideline by Clifton, Allen did not get any penitration on that play, he would never have had a chance at the interception. His one sack this season wouldnt even have been a sack had the referree given Chad Henne a better spot.
I know all you darned Coaches are just trying to keep your jobs, but is their one coach anywhere that doesnt just lie any time questioned?
The darned NFL is likely rigged anyway, I don't even know why I care so much anymore.

If Leber continues to play the way he has he will be in the pro-bowl.

I agree with you to a certain extent-good post, I feel your frustration.

But like he said, the Vikes haven't been playin' with the lead so teams don't have to throw as much. And teams have been using 8 man protection IN PREPARATION due to last year's success in the sack dept., that and throwing 3 step drop passes via short and intermediate throws to beat the rush. This explains some but not all.

Perhaps some of the drop-off can be credited to Allen's new married life, maybe some of his anger and passion have assuaged from the game and has been replaced with a more docile existence, putting out some of that fire he has shown in the past, I don't know, just a thought.

I think this coach is in the same fantasy world as Klink! "Its a testament to how he has taken care of his body (FAT WILLIAMS)" Had me rolling on the floor! Kevin Williams is Terrorizing them! Yup every game I watch he may be mentioned "ONCE" for being in on a play. The way he talks about his defensive line the other teams offenses must not know what to do. Quarterbacks are running for their life! Yeah Right! Brady was sitting back in the Pocket reading WAR and Peace before he threw a pass! Holes in that last drive by NE anybody could of gained 30 yards on! Guys with one leg and a seeing eye dog could of. I hope you coaches arent feeding this bull shit to the players. COME ON COACHES GET BACK TO REALITY!

Leber, pro bowler??? What? Hopefully you're being sacrastic or you mean Chad Greenway and Henderson, Leber is not a good linebacker, he is the weak link in the linebacking core. Chad Greenway has way more tackles, he's what 5th in the league or 4th an has way more tackles for loss.

I did mean Greenway, Christ he has 57 solo tackles, the league leader has 60.

Leber only has 17 solo tackles, 1 int. Believe it or not Leber is above average as well in solo tackles as compared to the league average.
