Im impressed that Gerhart got here so quick.Almost immediately after exams he was on the plane and in Minnesota Wednesday morning. He probably could have gotten away with missing the whole camp but hes ready to dive right in.I dont blame him for wanting to be at graduation ceremonies cause you only graduate once.Petersons case is a little different cause the parade is organized by his aunt and they have had months to reschedule it to a different date.

Draft day nobody was on my side. I bet everybody agrees now. We should have draft the full time football player and play-maker Jahvid Best.

Peterson is excused we know what he can do.

You know me. I don't hate to say I told you so.

I'm ready for him to show his stuff. I've read where that ex-wide-out (Reynaud) should be the third down back but can he pick up the blitz? Now I aint no coach but I'm wondering why they don't use a Tight End as the back on 3rd and long. If they blitz, you have a 265 lb guy to knock them on their arse, if they don't blitz, he can swing out and catch a pass. Gerhart is big enough to knock them back also, which is a plus. I also like that Gerhart carries the ball closer to his chest than Peterson...less fumbles.

Avant...exactly when would Best get to play? You gonna sit Peterson? He sure as hell can't cover kick-offs and punts. He may be able to be a return man but he was red-flagged because of his concussion history. You may be right but Best just doesn't fit into what the Vikings needed most.

We need someone to replace Tayor. Have you ever heard of of a 250 pound 3rd down back who has no history of catching the football? A 3rd down back is what Best is. He also scores touchdowns and is the biggest play-maker in the draft.

Watch what Best does with Detroit. I will say I told you so.

And Reynaud stinks!

I like to experiment with the roster and have plans to utilize this ex-wide out joke Reynaud at runningback since I cant depend on the fumbling Peterson or the migraine Queen Harvin. I passed on Best because I wanted a Mike Alstott wannabe.

That pick is a good one as long as AP stays healthy, my concern was that if he does get hurt then Best would have been a better back to take his spot. They will be a good 1-2 punch Avant provided they both stay upright the season, no worries.

the fact remains that gerhart was THE best running back in all of college in 2009 and was the runner up for the heisman. he is more durable, he scores more TDs, blocks better, catches better, and flat out knows how to get into the enzone. great pick for the vikes. AD and TG will lead the league in rushing while Best finds out what its like to be a RB for detroit.

with a healthy offensive line, qb, receivers, TE, and backs they have, they will be outscoring EVERYONE. That stiff defense got even better this season so teams will be finding it very difficult to get into the enzone. Get ready for the vikes to dominate in a big way this year.

But as usual choke. Its gotta be lonely when your team is deep rooted in a 0 for 50 drought

In college gerhart ate up yards. A 4.7 40 in the pro's is a blocker. Best is a 4.3 playmaker in college and pro's.

Gerhart is a slow Peterson without agility. Every analyst including Kiper and McShay said Gerhart doesn't fit the vikings personality.

Best has hof ability Gerhart, could be an asset. Give me the football player.

You don't want a tight end as 3rd down back for the same reason gerhart won't make it. No speed. A 3rd down back is a playmaker.

So will I,
just as soon one of two things happen and they will.
1) 15 carries 22 yards
or
2) out for the year with a concussion.
Meanwhile,I'm more than certain Childress the coach knows more than you.
Stop the crying.
