And how could they not? Two years ago he set the single season sack record. Oh, just remembered that was in his own mind.

St. Louis could use him and that pick could maybe get a Q B ??????? If Vikes have to lose him make it worth it.

Why did they tender T-Joke? Cut this guy right now and identify a candidate to be the long term QB after Brett retires.

The guy more than doubled his wages in one year? Good for him, but what does he do that merits that much money? He hugs guys and pulls them to the ground. Great entertainment, but do you think we just might have our priorities out of whack?

Why not keep Jackson? Why would you let him go. He is not ready to be a starter, YET. Have you seen his numbers the last 2 seasons? 2 years ago after taking over for Frerotte, he completed 59.1% of his passes for 1,056 yards, 9 TDs and only 2 INTs - for a QB rating of 95.4. Last year while playing a VERY limited role he completed 66.7% of passes for 201 yards, 1 TD and 0 INTs for a QB rating of 113.4.

Now you could contest that you could not base last seasons stats towards his progression, but what I see is consistent improvement. Keep him around for another season under Favre and he will be ready to be a starter...

Makes sense. I noticed the same thing. Besides, if the Silver Savior goes down, Jackson is the best prepared QB to go in. There's still time to find an eventual replacement for both should things work out that way.

Yep, other scouts are just salivating, now that they can get TJack for a third. Nobody wanted him last year for a fourth. Sitting behind a legend may teach you some things but if you don't have it you don't have it. Using this logic Jim Sorgi, should be one of the most sought after quarterbacks.

If the Silver Savior goes down so will the ship! A third rounder would be great compensation for T-Joke.

As musch as I like Tomlinson, if Taylor does leave, Westbrook is probably best pick up if he's recovered from his injury. Plus, I think he would be more willing to take the role then Tomlinson would.

Edwards for a 1 is a lock in my mind. someone will take that deal, i would think, in a heartbeat. he was phenomenal. Vikes messed up bad i think.

You think? If a team does we are deepest on the D-line, I believe Robison could be an every down end for us and we would get another pick in the first round which could certainly shore up other areas of need we have, I have mixed feelings about this one.

Read the article again.

If somebody DOES sign Jackson, the Vikes would gain an extra 3rd round pick. I guess you'd rather they just cut him and get nothing? Duh.

Second, while most fans would like to see a new long term QB waiting in the wings for Favre's retirement, don't you think it would be wise to find that new QB BEFORE giving up the one other guy on the roster who knows the offense besides Favre? Again, duh.

If you're going to post things like that, you might as well just go put on your pink dress and watch Dancing With The Stars. Try not to pull your groin.

They didn't mess up anything. The Vikings retain the right to match any offer Edwards receives from another team. If the money is too high, he goes, Vikes get a first round pick. If it's within reason, they may decide to kick up their offer enough to match, and Edwards stays.

The only better option would be a franchise tag, and that would require paying Edwards many more millions of dollars, beyond what he's really worth.
My thoughts exactly

i want to see edwards back but if he goes we get a first round pick and can use that on a DE if needed but edwards is coming into his own since everyone else has to focus on the williams wall and allen. I hope someone signs T-Jack since we have Sage for a backup still

Better than Peterson?

Did your mom smoke a ton of pot while she was pregnant with you?
Did she drop you on your head?
I guarantee there's not one NFL scout or GM who will agree with you.
