"average"? haha, thats funny. even with NO qb...this isn't an average football team. thats a stupid grade on special teams. guy didn't do anything but a oh right, 51 yard return. oh, ignore the fumble as well. uh ok...

you give this team an AVERAGE qb...and it's superbowl caliber. the problem is, we have a guy who sucks. the only guy i've seen orton hit IN stride is on the defense. this game should have been 40 to 10. you coulda told me that was rex playing a trick or treat joke and wearing orton's jersey, and other than the inaccuracy on throws over 10 yards...i'd have believed it with the picks and fumbles

OK, I am usually a bit hard on the coaches, but don't they deserve a little love for starting the game in the no huddle. I actually thought they did an OK job.

And, what was the matter with the performance of the special teams? Re-read what you wrote about them and let us know how that equates to a C-

your grades are off. The defense should get an A-. They played well considering the offense couldn't do squat in the second half. Your grade of special teams is also terrible. You're spoiled if you're expecting Hester to return every play for a TD. How in the world did you come up with a C-? I'd say B+ or at least a solid B. Try watching the game next week buddy.

Geez, Vaughn. I'm glad I didn't have you as a teacher. Is it sour grapes because not a single one of you Tribune reporters thought the Bears had a chance last night? Three C- and one B+!!!! Come on.

These are a little harsh on offense and coaching, aren't they? The play calling and execution on offense in the first half was awesome, even more so when you consider just how good a defense the Eagles have. Give the coaches and offense some credit for putting the Eagles on their heels early. It only figures that the second half would become lower scoring when two defensive minded teams made their adjustments.

BTW, Rex Grossman, please stop posting as Gimy from Indianapolis. 21 points in sweet passing by Orton showed why he is the better QB, suck it up and deal. Orton was great at Purdue and he'll be even better at Chicago. Grossman should feel fortunate that he even has a job as a backup, and I sincerely hope I never see him take another snap unless it is in the preseason.

Was that Lovie moving on the sideline last night? Not speaking, just moving.

"Game Manager" Orton ... 2 interceptions and 2 fumbles.

This is supposed to be an improvement over Rex?

Yes for the time being. rex would have had 4 int and 4 fumbles. Its funny to see how people forget about rex and the way he plays. From a true Bears fan no one on Earth can do worse than rex.
