Wow,You really have a Love Affair with Berrian, dont you?? Do you really think us bear fans give a Sh!t about Berrian and the Vikings right now?? You are talking like you enjoy it or something. Maybe you should write for the Vikings instead. Your attempt at trying to turn us fans against management are pathetic, especially using a player like Berrian! He was not worth anywhere close to what he got paid!! You think he is actually worth completely capping us out on payroll?? You think he would be a better signing than Briggs?? That Berrian is worth 6 million more than Briggs?? Enough with these articles on Berrian. He had a mediocre season at best, big deal!! BEAR DOWN!! GO BEARS,GOOD LUCK IN 2009!!

"Your attempt at trying to turn us fans against management...." We're not fans of management. We're fans of labor THE PLAYERS. PAST and PRESENT. The Blue Collar Chicago Bears indeed....

I could really see Grossman heading to Minnesota to compete for a starting job next year. I think that would be a good fit. They have a good offensive line, the best RB, and some nice receivers.

I agree with 1bearsfan. All that money to barely take the NFC North and exit the play-offs in the Wild Card round. Completely over-paid. Good riddance.

Way to go, Bernard! One million dollars per touchdown. A lot of US have to WORK for a living.

I especially like the way you got JACKED in the 4th quarter yesterday, when it really counted. The only thing you can catch with someone close to you is a cold!

But hey! You played ONE WHOLE GAME more in a Vi-queens uni this season. Congrats!

Well, I'll beg to differ that Berrian was quite a catch. Sunday's wild card game had "The Phantom" disappearing again! How can a quality WR only get 2 receptions playing on a team with 2 quality RBs, even after they have fallen behind in the game? With the Eagles putting 8 men in the box so much, surely Berrian should have done better. But he seldom gets open except on a deep route and he doesn't have the hands to catch in traffic. I'm glad the Bears didn't waste a lot of money to sign Berrian. He just wasn't good enough to help the Bears much.

A good catch? He played pretty soft yesterday. As in Chicago, when you needed Bernard to step up you couldn't find him. He has the last laugh though - all that money for a mediocre season.

Also, isn't it funny how every time Bobby Wade catches a three yard pass he gets up and celebrates like he just won the Super Bowl? What's with that guy?

Sweet34, I agree with you, where are all these Fair Weather Viking fans now!! Yeah, this great catch in Berrian had a whole 2 catches for 36 yards?? This was their biggest game of the year, and Berrian Disappears. It is just further proof that he isnt very good!! Thats a great return for investing 42 million dollars(sarcastic)?? What a Joke,Berrian did nothing to help his team succeed! So enjoy your overpaid and overhyped Wannabe receiver. The Vikings had to ask for a 2nd extension,so they could try to sell tickets for their team in the playoffs, how pathetic! The vikings didnt deserve the division or to be in the playoffs! Take Care Fellow Bear fans. BEAR DOWN!! GO BEARS,GOOD LUCK IN 2009!!

This has to be one of the worst articles I have read in a long time. The whole premise is completley bogus because it is a known FACT Berrian is not even a solid number 1 reciever. The stats and his play on the field are proof of that. Also, to even slightly insinuate the Bears would have been better off catering to Berrian by keeping Grossman and overpaying him to stay in Chi town is an insult to all fans. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!

He wanted number one money and he is a number two. I applaud the Bears front office for making that call.
