And how long did it take them to realize that Rex ain't the man??? How good would Orton have been if they gave him the playing time...and on top of that he actually showed some emotion. A quarterback is a leader; not an excuse maker.

The niners suck. The Bear D is in trouble. Orton is a middle of the road QB at best. Go Cub!

They need to cut Rex now. He's completely done. Yeah, he knows the system. But he can't run the system. It's a rebuilding year, so cut him and move on.

And while you're at it, Lovie Eugene, cut Mark Bradley at the same time.

How much time did Orton have to throw the ball? Was he ever put on his back? Did he get his jersey dirty? Was he flushed from the pocket? Did a 49er defender even breathe on him at any point? Don't rush to anoint Orton the Savior just yet, Rex Haters.

Nice job Orton and the rest of the offense.

Where was the defense? Anyone have a sighting of Marty Booker catching a pass in this game or ANY of the preseason games?

What did Orton do except show he knows how to hit wide open targets when there is no pressure? All you fools out there think this will be the case on a week by week basis this year need to wake fast!!

The Bears defense looks like it's trying to learn a new system and is ALWAYS out of place. Last time I checked they've been in this system for awhile and are veteran, well paid players. Do they plan on waking up in week 1 against Peyton Manning and company?

it never amazes me the media and another one of there hype stories.. orton looked for good tonight oh did you see that pass to bradley oh wait, what about the connection between him and rashid. wow he threw 2 touchdowns. yup he did all of that people against the damn 49ers. i'm so sick and tired of you idiots wake up people this guy is terrible. What we saw tonight was a smoke screen. This offense won't do nearly what they did tonight and that's not saying alot. Orton had all day to throw how realistic is that and the guy still looked jittery. What the hell is up with his front leg bouncing up and down like that is he nervous or something. You media can annoint orton all you want talk about him all you want come regular season when it starts this guy will be your punching bag.

I guarantee this offense looks nothing like this against indy. our wrs ha yea okay sure. rashid davis although i like him let me see what he looks like against a shutdown corner. did booker have one catch tonight i swear that guy is bad luck. he's probably the reason the miami qb's threw so many picks he sucks. the defense was even worst urlacher look slow and terrible so did peanut. I'm predicting a bad season for him. whatever his family reasons were and everyone is entitled his head is not in the game so why play the guy.

you people need to wake up is the same 49ers team we were beating by 40 pts at half in 06 and now they are as good as us. preseason or not had this been a regular season game they would have won. we could not apply any pressure to there qb's at all. Orton can smile and play along with this media all he wants mark my words come time for real competition we'll see who comes to play with there hard hat. this guy throws for 147 and the special teams plays great typical orton and what do you guys do start chanting orton gimme a break like nell harper. This 49ers team is so terrible there at the bottom of the sesspool. yea and you expect to win huh. I can't wait to see our tackles against freeney and the boys. rex grossman do i need to say more he should just go to another team. it's obvious ron turner intends on making this guy look terrible. a qb with some much potential only to be ruined by turner system. He should have taken the first flight out of chicago because i'll guarantee rex will more likely win a super bowl with another team before we make it to another super bowl with orton.

1. It was nice to see an interview on TV with a bears quarterback that seemed intellegent.

2. nice job kyle and o-line

3. Davis always does good in pre-season, and then is never seen during the season.

4. Forte nice job stepping up.

5. How long will we keep Babich around before we figure out that he has no clue.(just because your genius at x's and o's doesn't make you a good coordinator)

6. was it just me or did it look like the D was a step behind everybody. good job making Gore look like the next Jim Brown.

7. At least lovies lies hasn't rubbed off on Urlacher, He admitted the bears D sucked

8. Just because Hanie completed the Hail Merry, please don't say he's better than Orton.

orton has one good game in the preseason and he's already being crowned? all i have to say is...good luck in Indy because Peyton Manning will make orton look like a fool even if he only has one leg.

If Lovie is disappointed with his current 'D', he has only HIMSELF to blame for firing Ron Rivera & hiring his buddy Babich in his place!! The defense under Rivera was dominating!
BABICH MUST GO (and the sooner, the better)!!

I thought the offense played well. Orton looked good, but Rex looked really bad. He has lost confidence now that he's not the starter(not saying he can't be a starter, but just that his mindset is not there)Hey "Ortonsucks," the 49ers are a better team then they were 2 yrs ago, if you have a problem blame the defense, the offense is fine and will be just as good in the regular season. But the defense was horrible. Missed tackles(I saw alot of arm tackles), missed gaps, over pursuing and what's with the no press on the wide receivers. Do the Bears corners have something against getting up in the receivers face at the line of scrimmage, especially on 3rd and long plays? I don't know, but something has to put a fire in the defense. Maybe Lovie should start fining the defense for screwing up. I mean they're getting paid to do the job, if they're not doing the job correctly, then they need to be punished. The organization gives out the money, they can take it back. The players seem to care alot about the amount of money they make, if the organization threatens to take some of it away maybe they'll play a little harder. Just a thought.
We know what Orton is

To ortonsucks - please don't watch anymore Bears games, we don't want you as a fan if that is what you are.

The D looked horrible last night, Lovie bring Rivera back.

I loved what they have done with special teams, Manning looked a lot like Devin last night! They are going to make games more exciting!

I cant stand the way you haters get on here and put down our team. The offene looked decent last night, the defense wasnt so sharp. Get over it, its pre-season, did you know the 85 bears went 1-3 in the pre-season. Not saying this team is as good but we really dont know. I will say that I beleive were gonna do better that you hatin idiots are predicting. Go back to your own teams website and quit postin comments here haters, this is for us bear fans to comment.

Has anyone lese noticed the fall from strength of the defense correlates to the defensive coordinator switch? Bring back Rivera. Babich might be Lovie's guy but he plays too soft.
