Burris would be a perfect WR fit for the Bears.......I'll bet he'd jump at the chance to star at Soldier Field. Burris would feel right at home, especially if Angelo spices the contract by offering a townhouse with a bullet-proof limo in Cicero.

It's 'Burress' skippy ... Plaxico will not serve jail time, and will probably miss the first 3 games. In that case, sign him up.

The last thing the Bears need is another childish idiot player with personal problems. I don't care how good of a player he is.

Cheers to Tony Tudisco who "slapped" Bears ownership at the meeting! Jeers to Mr. Angelo!!! As a huge Bears' fan, I think ownership and management should feel ashamed by Jerry's "sophmoric" response to Mr. Tudisco. For those of us that have supported the team for decades (in my case, approaching 5 decades), Jerry owes ALL Bears fans an apology for not only his juevenile retort, but the failings of the organization for nearly a half a century. Grow up, Jerry...and show us (the fans) some respect as we've supported this team despite decades of mostly failure. You should be ashamed.

I'm tired of people whining about not having receivers when they haven't even seen what Jay can do with what we have. It's not like Denver's WR's were old and experienced when Jay started there... The Bears tried to land Boldin, they're probably still trying... have some patience...

Ah, the Company Line. You gotta love it. My guess is they'll wait for the final cut-down day at the end of training camp and see who they can get cheap. It's the Bears way, after all.

I agree so much with TomD and so little with "who gives flying fudge" it's difficult to find the words. There is no excuse for bad behavior not meeting the consequences that result from these shennanigans. This kind of stuff results in O.J. Simpson behavior. I don't expect perfection but some humility, remorse, and some effort at fitting in with the rest of society would be nice to see from ANY celebrity. I wouldn't want to see the Bears turn into the Bengals, a team of prison recruits.

I have to Laugh at so called "Fans" who say we dont have recievers. How in the World would we know? You have to Have a QB to get them the ball, on time. I would in NO WAY call Davis a reciever because the guy cant catch the football half the time but.... hes old news, The rest of the Corps look pretty good. We have a guy who can open up the field, a couple of "Hands" guys and good TE`s. Its NOT the problem some think it is.

I guess you and I understand Football, If Jay's that good so will the WR's. All he's got to do is put the ball out there and these guys we have will feed off of that and learn how to get free or jump for that ball or maybe even Dive for 1 and make it look like a great play! Lets just wait

Bears WR depth chart: Could be. Who? VOID. As long as Rashied Davis is on the depth chart the Bears are playing a man short.

It seems Bears management should be "ashamed" that they have to deal with tools like you in their fan base. So Angelo, who hasn't been employed by Halas Hall for even 1 decade, is to explain 50 years of supposed futility? 40 wins the last 4 years not good enough for you pillowbiter? Souns like you and slap-happy Tony are both Packer fans. Feel free to post your apologies and recognize your complete stupidity come December when a couple of our WR's are in the Pro Bowl discussion.

Lot of errant WR hating opinions here but I can't take anymore of drops davis. That guy is absolutely killing me. Angelo is a funny guy to call out undercover Pack fans at their expo

Angelo had it right last year after the season when everyone was clamoring for a WR and he said it all starts with the QB. People whined and complained that he was throwing Orton under the bus, but you know what? He's right. Fans in Chicago wouldn't know the ways of a true QB if it bit us in the backside, mainly because we've never had one. QB's make receivers great, not the other way around. Cutler will make Hester and the others better. His accuracy will make life easier on all of them. Going out and getting a "me first" guy is not the answer. Now if Arizona still want to trade Boldin well then that's a different story...

Time will tell if Jerry is interested in Plax. My guess is that we'll see a new face or two by the time training camp starts in two months. Hester may raise his game with a strong arm guy like Cutler here now but he would be the smallest number one receiver in league history if the Bears don't find someone else and I don't see that as likely.

Here is my problem with all the bears fans saying that you have to wait and see what jay cutler can do to the receivers we have, you are hoping Cutler can turn garbage into a decent receiver. As a bears fan im tired of hoping for decent, the bears finally have a star QB, a good RB and a defense with 1-2 more years of being pretty good. The bears can roll the dice and try to win the superbowl by grabing a star WR, or be happy making the playoffs with a team loaded with marginal NFL wr's. I say screw it sell your soul and try to win a damn superbowl like every other team in the league would do.

When Jerry says he's comfortable with what he has, that makes me extremely UN-comfortable. Burress has too much baggage --- are they still looking Boldin's way?
