QUICK LOOK: It's rarely a good time to play the defending Super Bowl champions, but the Bears might have caught a break by drawing the Steelers in Week 2. It appears they will catch the Steelers without safety Troy Polamalu , their best player.

When I saw that Polamalu went down, that thought crossed my mind. I think that the losses of Pisa Tinoisamoa Brian Urlacher, Des Clark and a backup corner sort of tip that scale back in the other direction. The Steelers are catching the Bears without their best player, and several good ones for good measure.

troy is a big loss, true, but urlacher is a bigger loss. you don't lose your defensive leader/play caller and not see a drop off. Now if farrior was out I would be a bit worried because he calls the plays for the steelers D.

Cutler is going to have a badddd day.... He is horrible under pressure and will start turning red and pouting....Vegas should have that bet going but betting Cutler will fold under pressure would sink Vegas...lmao

The Bears only hope that the Steelers injure Cutler. Otherwise he will throw 4 more pics and, well we know how that goes. He throws more pics than any other QB in history.

I dont think the steelers ever faced cutler in the afc championship. Wasn't that Jake Plummer?

I think it's going to a good game in all, Steelers win it by 3, but the game of the week gonna be the Ravens Vs the chargers! Ravens by 7

I think the Ravens are going to romp. The Chargers are overrated. I can't get a handle on the Steelers game. I think the Bears are going to be desperate for a win, and I'm not sure how the Steelers O-line will handle that pass rush, but Cutler was being seriously rattled by a lesser D than the Steelers... You're right, though--it's going to be close.

You're defending a troll ("BOSS") who never talks about football and only gets online so he can pretend to be other people? Why?

He may Be a troll, but in this case he is right. Besides if someone is going to point fingers or call names or act like they never left the playground they should at least know what they are talking about. If not they should be called out. Nothing more nothing less.

Fact of the matter is, if the Bears come with a good gameplan...they can beat us. Throw short to intermediate routes to the sidelines and you'll get first downs. That'll force our safeties to the outside and make our linebackers feel the heat of pressure. The same goes for Chicago tho. If they can't stop Woodley, Harrison, Timmons, and Farrior, they're as good as dead.

Lebeau has something cooked up, I have a feeling. He'll use Farrior more in this game than in any other. He'll drop Woodley and Harrison back in mid coverage more often, then he'll bring the inside blitz with Timmons and Farrior.

I also see us using a more wide-out featured offense. Roeth going to shotgun more often. More play action and no-huddle to confuse the defense without Urlacher being there to manage the offense. Confusion is key. We have this game.

Unfortunately, the Chicago game is the same day as my girlfriend's birthday. I won't probably get to see the entire thing. Which pisses me off and makes me think that being single could possibly be the way to go. Meh...such is life.

I think you're highly confused. The guy who responded about Cutler wasn't the guy Bob was talking to. He was talking to the troll who pretends to be other people because he has nothing to say about football. Maybe you should figure out what you're talking about, for a change.

I'm hoping the home crowd will provide the atmosphere to push the Bears past the Steelers this week. What if the offseason additions of Orlando Pace and Frank Omiyale blow up in the Bears face? Hell, Pace is 100 years old, Omiyale got smoked, and Kruetz is almost as old as Pace. Hopefully the backups are better than the starters.

of course I'd like to see the ravens lose but I agree with you score prediction. I just hope that your fat guy in the middle falls on rivers and puts him out of the game.
