Well written.

Avoid FA period in 2009 unless L. Coles or someone of extreme value really wants to come to Miami. FA is largely (with exceptions noted) a black hole/'quick fix' designed to sell tickets. Well, those tickets aren't going to sell either way this year...in this economy. Stick to the draft.

Charlie Anderson, Torbor and obviously Wilford were to different degrees FA busts. Smiley was a hit with an unfortunate late injury. I don't think they'll actually seriously bid for Jason Brown @ what he wants. Draft Alex Mack -- or get the Stellers to trade up for him for their 1st and a 4th, 7th.

Regardless, I am enjoying the investment that is being made into the offensive line! It has been neglected for way too long! Folks, we can do anything if we can control the line of scrimmage and it all starts up front.

Get back to the glory days of Csonk and crew and let's hit somebody! That is the path to the Super Bowl!

I like the front office moves so far . Sure a few misses like Wilford , but they have moved the Dolphins in the right direction .

Ernest Wilford should of been arrested for impersonating a pro football player, what a joke he was.

The Super Bowl Giants is a poor example. They got arguably their most important player via free agency in Plaxico Burress. They don't win a Super Bowl without that big signing.

Now l.Coles would be a great addition since C.Pennington was his best friend on the presently destroyed JETS team. I would guess he would like to make fools of his former jets organization.

We just signed Gabril Wilson from the raiders... I dunno what you are talking about. We are talking to Brown, we resigned Crowder and Carey, and are trying to knock out the Bell signing.

Sounds like a pretty active free agency to me.

Agree the Jets overspend for oldfart, overhyped, malcontents with big egos and it shows.

I think it refers to signing free agents from other teams...not resigning your own guys.

The draft is said to be deep at the center position, we have a greater chance of finding a center than a DT in the draft. A big talented DT that can play in 4-3 scheme is hard to come by, I'd put my money on Haynesworth.

Build through the draft, make trades, and work the waiver wire.
No need to go crazy and over spend our future away like the idiot Obama.

We need a legitimate #1 receiver though and the best option is either free agency or trade. If we don't fill that hole i will find it hard to consider this offseason a success.

Well with any luck the dems will lose some control in the Congress in a couple years and we can right some of this mess being caused now. However that is a discussion for another thread.
