Only time will tell if this is a great benifit for the Vikings. at this point, it cant hurt us. If Rice is able to play this season, our offense will be unstoppable. I think we need to stay optimistic. At least Moss has grandpa Favre to kick him in the but t when he needs it or deserves it:)

Randy was put on earth to do one thing: catch footballs. It's a career path that ends at an age when a normal person would be hitting their stride, and that's best case. His priority is to maximize opportunities to leverage his talent, and maximize his compensation. He's smart enough to know that he doesn't have what it takes to employ two-faced Machiavellian negotiation tactics to cover his hide both ways. What Tom bitterly calls "child psychology" is clearly rational decision making from career-focused professional. And Randy is gonna bring it.

Excessively negative slant, there, Tom. Randy's got a heart as big as West Virginia. He's done a lot of behind the scenes work with underprivileged kids in that part of the world, never seeking publicity for it. He wants to win, always has, and has been no problem off the field for many years now, if he ever was. He's probably as misunderstood an athlete as there has ever been. I'm thrilled to have him back with us and expect he'll do very well as a teammate and a receiver. Kudos to Ziggy for truly going "all in". Now it's up to us to help rally this team to victory when they come home vs. Dallas. This is gonna be FUN!

Randy Moss is the "Game Plan." Nice job for the front office. It wasn't working and this is an attempt to fix it. I always thought Moss should have stayed a Viking and he will bring it to the field this season. VJ would have been better, but just wasn't available.

Moss and RIce at WR and at worse Moss will be a drawing card after BF retires and help sell seats and should help any young QB that comes along after BF is gone.

NOW on the flip side....Moss 9 catches in 4 games with Tom Brady at qb.Why would NE trade Moss after 4 games? Teddy bruschi mentioned it was time for Moss to leave NE so is there a problem with Moss attitude?

This article wrote itself. Of course there's always risk with a personality like Randy's. But what Tom fails to really get at is that the Vikes were in deep trouble without him. This is probably going to be their best chance for a while. Why not pull out all the stops and see what you can do. It's a risk but well worth it.

The offense that has racked up 43 whole points in 3 games now becomes "unstoppable" with the addition of a 33 year old who has 9 catches in four games and a guy coming off hip surgery? Pass the kool-aid.

The Vikes problem starts with #4 and you better hope and pray that one unfortunate play doesn't elevate Toby Gerhart into your featured back. Because that's the NFL.

It's a good move for the Vikes, but it's a move borne of desperation and you better hope to win some tough 20-17 games against the Jets/Pats/Cowboys/Pack this next stretch because your D is going to have to carry you if playoffs, much less the Super Bowl, is in your future.
