Full story: TwinCities.com

Vikings coach Brad Childress acted alone, so now he stands alone in the Randy Moss fallout.

I believe that this was the dumbest thing that could have been done by Childress for a couple of reasons. One Childess had his last breath taken from him when he waived Moss which was stupid because he stretched the field and always drew a safety with him. Two he didn't ask the Wilf's to waive him. I believe the Wilf's should fire Childress for abusing his power and the Vikings should get moss back under a new coach and get the respect that he needs.

Childress would probably be a great fantasy football coach; since he lives in a fantasy world.

If another team doesn't pick Moss up, then that's 3 million more the Wilf's could've spent builiding their own stinking stadium.

Wow, no buyout clause in his contract? Why else do you think he is doing this. Would you make an ass of yourself and your career to be paid $12 million to just walk away?

Dang, he can take that money and retire so some lodge in the northwoods and fish all day and drink beer all night.

It all makes complete sense now...

Let's see the guy yells about the food, has a press conference meltdown and criticizes the coach. Now some dummy traded a 3td round pick for this guy. On top of that we payed him for 3 games and could have to pick up $3,888,000 of his salary and he will be playing for another team? This story almost sounds like a joke. We start a 41 year old QB who is leading the league with 11 interceptions. He is responsible for 58 points scored by the other team because of his 15 turnovers. Who is the Coach in charge of this fiasco ??

This is not how you get your stadium Mr. Wilf. Firing this little general and replacing him with a class act like Leslie Frazier as the interim head coach would do a lot to restore YOUR credibility.

Does anyone else think it's a big deal that he wasted a 3rd round pick? Then there's the wasted pick to trade up to draft Jump Pass, the two draft picks from this past draft that he cut during pre-season. Once Favre is gone, we really have no QB (and it can be argued that we don't right now), plus we're on the cusp of losing many of our core players after this season. Draft picks don't grow on trees and quality players are frequently available in the 3rd round. Zygi has no gras of football fundamentals and therefore doesn't grasp how bad this head coach really is. It's hard to imagine which of these guys has a bigger ego. The sad thing is that neither has earned the right while in their current role to be so arrogant.

If Vikings don't make the playoffs, Childress will be gone. Somebody has to take the fall, might as well be chilly.

Fire Chilly! He has lost respect of the team, the league and the fans. This last fiasco is enough. He is not a contributing member of the team any more. With Moss we average over 20 pnts a game with out him we manage about 10.... Chilly has singlehandly decided the season is over even though there is a chance for the playoffs still. There will be no stadium with him around and there will be no championships. With the talent he has on the team we should be at least 5-2 not 2-5. Granted Moss was not politicaly correct and voiced his truthful opionions but at least he was honest. Chilldress Lies, then has his staff cover up for him. He needs to go, today!

The Peter Principle I believe it was called back in my management class in college. Cant remember the exact words but the gist of it is this. People get promoted to the point where they are not capable to do the job they are promoted to. Textbook case is our Mr. Childress;who to me looks a lot like Simpsons neighbor Mr. Flanders the wimpy guy.
Childress was probably a fine coffee boy at the Eagles! And then!

Mr. Wilf buys a football team! He needs a coach. Now Mr. Wilf is not really a imposing physical specimen. So he is not going to hire anyone like Bill Cowher. Might be a little intimidated to correct Bill Cowher. But alas he finds Mr. Flanders oh I mean Mr. Childress. Now here is a guy that he can stand up to.

So alas Mr Childress gets bumped up to Head Coach; something he is totally in capable of handling.

Funny thing is Wilf doesnt even seem capable of standing up to Mr. Flanders Oh Sorry I mean Mr. Childress.

As long as the viking owners successfully empty the wallets of the fans Brad has no problems what so ever, and it seems that the fans are willing to endure the mediocre game that the vikings play

It is not Moss it is the coach. Moss found out that chilli can't coach a girls team let alone a pro team. Its time that we move on and that means FIREING our coach and get the fire back in our team

I THOUGHT FOR SURE THIS WAS JUST some kind of bizarre ploy on their part and never thought it would be possible for them to waive him, what a waste of a 3rd round pick, especially considering we need as many picks a possible FOR possible jockeying position in attaining a QB this draft.

So the arrogant, bullheaded, incompetent, paranoid, Mr. Childress even hoodwinked the Wilfs into giving him total authority over football decisions. And he had never even held a head football coach position before!!! How stupid are the Wilfs that they couldn't see what even the most drunken, ill-educated, bull roaring, face painting, beer bellied fan knew from the very first moment Childress walked to the podium: this guy is a clown, not a coach.

With no buyout clause Childress is holding all the cards. The smart thing the Wilfs could do is make a statement supporting their coach. 92% of the fans in Minnesota don't like Childress, so an up hill battle is evident.

Maybe the LA fans will be more exited about their new Viking franchise and won't care!

This team is leaving Minnesota, so we better get used to being Packer fans, as the NFL will not be coming back.
