Amen to that. Quality people doing quality things.

In general, I think you get smarter athletes playing professional football, in particular those playing on or near the line of scrimmage. Compare and NFL playbook to an NBA playbook.

I've read several places where offensive linemen typically have some of the highest GPAs on the team when they are in college, and at the NFL combine their Wonderlic scores are on par with quarterbacks.

Good article. I love this team so much and can't wait for the season again. Sports is so boring without my Colts!

I am surprised that the colts did not bring Jake Scott back as a free agent signing. I thought he did an outstanding job protecting Manning. I thought thomas was also a useful player in a reserve capacity, but budget concerns was the answer again.

Ya too bad. They are both great players. Jake is one of the smartest football players ever to play with the Colts.

a reason for NFL players being (or acting) so much smarter than our hometown NBA player are the rule that NFL players are required to be 3 years removed from high school compared to the newish NBA rule on one. if you look at the troubled pacers they are still farely young and thats no excuse for their immaturity. but still that just shows the how football players just seem to have more time to think about their futures while having 2 more years mandated in college and they still strive for more!!!!! GO COLTS

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
