Bob Sanders says it best, "There's not a champ yet. We're not defending a title."
This isn't wresting or boxing. Our guys don't hit the field wearing a title belt around their waist. This is the NFL where every season is new and everyone starts a zero. The Colts aren't defending anything and the Pats haven't been crowned yet either. Game by game each team has and will need to prove their worth.
I'm so glad our Colts have been focused all season with this mind set. They've reminded us all throughout the season that they are ready to prove their worth game after game and that is one reason I think they'll be hoisting the trophy over their heads again this year.
Do us all a favor. Don't use the "D" word with our Colts. They aren't defenders, they're acheivers. That's why, once again they will come out on top.

it's prime time now, we will see what the colts are realy made of now. I would bet they come up short. their schedual has been way to soft and their defensive stats are inflated because of the competition they have played. colts may get by the chargers today, but if they do they face the true champions next week. they are over matched, Pats have prepared since last january for next week's game, they will not leave anything to chance next week. this is the game they have been building to and the colts are not mentaly tough enough to stop them. OH the heartbreak that is coming for indy, enjoy today, remember you have only been given the gift of a championship, the pats are taking back what is truely theirs. they have earned their championships the hard way, forged by the fire.

Lets try to get through this thing without injury. San Diego cant beat us if our defense comes ready to play because you know our offense is going to put up 30+. They arent going to get past the low 20s with no Gates.

I was really hoping the Jags would have at least made it a game. Cant turn the ball over against the Pats and win.

Schedule too soft...man you need to wake up and smell the coffee (or in your case the chowder)!!! The Colts will win today and be ready for the Pattsies.... Interesting game last night. The Jags played a great first half but I do not know if they put enough pressure on Marsha Brady. Giving him the short game made it easy for him...he needs to get laid on his back a few times and that is what the Colts will do next week.

GO COLTS>>>>

come on you can do better than that!

why didn't you just say "come on colts we can do it" like the rest of the colts fan's.

you colts fans want no part of the Pats, you know what is coming, you know that the nfl has given you so many opportunities and it finally worked out last year. like I said resume your position, the TRUE CHAMPS are back in town and the frauds know it

It sounds like the fraud is in your team...if any other coach did what yours did you would want that team out of the playoffs...so get off your high horse and be realistic. Nobody gave the Colts anything last year...the one thing we gave the Pattsies is a good butt kicking in the playoffs..is that what you are worried about this year???? I think so.

See you girls next week!!!

This is why the 90% of the U.S. that resides outside the northeast hasn't yet named you a Canadian province. It makes the rest of us seem so intelligent. The Patriots looked pretty good last night, especially since they finally crawled out from under the blankie of their division to play a team from the AFC south. Unfortunately for the Patriots, the Jaguars are a truly good team in the best division in the NFL, but they aren't the best.

Thanks for another illiterate post from a Patsy fan. Is everyone in New England illiterate?
As for A soft schedule (notice the correct spelling you illiterate moron), check out the schedule that the Patsys played this year and compare it to the one the Colts played. You will notice the Colts played in the toughest division in the NFL this year and for that matter, ever. The AFC South had the highest winning percentage of any division ever in the NFL. What was the AFC East's winning percentage this year? Also check the strength of schedule outside the division and see who played a tougher schedule.
If you want to be a troll on this forum at least learn how to use spell check and have some facts.

The abscence of Freeney will be felt all over the Defense of the Colts, and that really concerns me.The Colts at this point do not posess a dominating defensive lineman who can turn a game aroung with his play. This can be overcome with the Chargers, but with the Pats i don't know.Tom Brady thrives in the pocket with no pressure. The Pat receivers run wild and free if Brady has no pressure. The key to any Pats-Colts contest will be how much pressure the Colts can bring with no Freeney in the lineup.Mathis and Brock will be hard pressed to generate a consistent pass rush today from the outside, and next Sunday as well should they advance. The only true compensation might be offensive in nature;you know, scoring 37 points intsead of 30,always seeking to extend the lead. This is the way that Bellichick compensates for his aged linebacking crew. The offense scores so many points that the D's role becomes a caretaker's role-"just don't lose the game, stop them on most 3rd downs type of defense",is what the hoodie probably tells his D.Can the Colts keep pace with the Pats in a scoring contest? The return of Marvin Harrison coupled with the growth of Gonzales the rookie might be enough-today will tell some of that possible future.GO COLTS!!!
