Our starting tight end misses most of the season with an injury. Our second string tight end has surgery in January, and yet we don't draft or trade for a tight end.

And Sypniewski is out for the season. Perhaps a good tight end isn't critical in Cameron's offense. And perhaps a QB and a front line aren't critical to that offense either.

Just finished watching the Vikings-Ravens game and Ray Rice looked like the entire offense. Last year the offense looked like it was composed of just McGahee (who wasn't into it this year, along with Gaither and others) and Matt Stover.

Wow, we need offensive help! How about Bouldon for Suggs! He wants out of AZ and it is no sure thing Suggs will be here next year! We sure could use him!!!

Dan, you are a very good tight end. Don't push it. We need you. Best of Luck.

Big toe injuries ended the careers of Jack Lambert and Jonathan Ogden. The Ravens better be scouring the league for replacements.

They played 7 on 7 with the vikings before the game because the game i saw there was 10 other players on the field and limemen opening holes for Ray Rice

It's sad, but the Ravens are a second-tier football team this year, and probably more. They're not going to be able to trade or draft their way out of this for a long time. Besides the skill decisions, they don't seem to be lucky either. Of all the new players, how often do you think "WOW" or "he's special"? It takes a handfull of those guys and Rice isn't enough. Come December, I might even start looking forward to Orioles spring training....NOT!

"With Heap sidelined for a week because of a right calf injury "

If only this statement were true. Heap is great when he is healthy but another season like last year and I'm going to forget what he was like healthy.

I agree we are a second tier team this year but not about our young guys. Flacco will be our QB probably next year. Rice I agree looks to be a good one. Our O-Line is young and will get better as they get more playing time. We'll resign Suggs. Barnes will take over for Pryce when he retires. We have two good rookie safeties. Gooden will take over for Ray when he retires. Washington looks like he will be a good CB. Stepneski(sp) looks like he will be a good one provided the injuries don't keep coming for him. Frankly I think we have a good mix of young and old players on this team. We need some WRs and there are certainly other areas we will need people but nothing I don't think we need to worry about.

Unfortunately, the holes the linemen opened did add to the Ravens' running game, as Troy Smith was running for his life (and did quite well at it) as the Vikings went through the holes.

Just relax. Can we a play a game that counts first before we start hatin on everyone? Our D ( if healthy ) will be near impenetrable, and the O can only get better as they play together. Let's wait to see how the team looks & plays against the Bengals....Geeeezzzz

I don't agree. If you look back two years ago when we were 13-3 what has changed? We have a younger line, new young QB, and most importantly, good coaching. Are we going to be 13-3 this season - not with this schedule but next year is going to be a very very good year for Raven fans. I still think we are going to be competitive because our defense will make us so and since we now have someone that understands how to run an offense, I do expect more from them as well. I don't believe that just because you are not a Super Bowl contender does not make you a second tier team.
