can you provide me the names of the players named too the practice squad. Also; I can't understand the exact nature of J.O.'s toe injury. Why is the injury taking so long to heal? Why was surgery not performed during the off-season? It's been almost 10 months since the injury occured. Something seems terrible wrong here. Thanx. Bill C.

Bill -

The general consensus with these sorts of injuries is that NFL players are basically a big bunch of sissies who won't play through an injury if their best fighting dog's life was at stake.

But in the case of J.O., it's most likely a case of his being a left tackle, who - because he protects McNair's blind side - has to be able to rotate this way and that under all conditions and an injury that appears rather small to us is big to him because it affects his footwork.

Also, Ogden has played through injuries before and has a great work ethic, so it is highly unlikely that the "sissy" tag applies to him. Better to wait it out if at all possible.

Really.

Try walking without your big toe. Or better yet try walking with a big toe that that is violently painful every time you push off it. Then try to block Dwight Freeney with the same condition. See if you think its a sissy injury after that.

I don't get it. Did you read what I wrote? Or was it too many words to get through the whole thing?
