I'm not sure if McCoy is the man or not, I don't watch much college football. He could be great he could be a flop - I don't know.

However, it is apparent to me that we need someone to be the heir to take over for Favre in the event he gets injured or decides to retire.

I think the article brings out a truth and that is "we don't have a backup for Favre". I look for Jackson to be gone at the end of the year, Rosenfel could be good but he is no Favre and Booty has been all but forgotten.

Hence bring on a college QB that can be trained.

Also, we definately need a MLB, DT in the next draft.

As usual Magnum Man won't take a stand on QB's but I will. McCoy is a boy, who won't be able to play a mans game. Just like Tim Tebow.

Rosenfels is 3rd string and you think he's capable to lead the Vikings next year? Shame on you.

MLB, DT are the positions you think the vikings want in the draft?

Again you haven't been watching the season. DB's and safety are what we want.
In a few weeks I will tell you the particular players the vikings will pick.

If you are going to be a good debater you should know what you're talking about.

WATCH COLLEGE FOOTBALL! You can't be RIGHT if you don't scout the players we debate in the pro's.

Altho I do enjoy you being wrong so stick with your Magnum Man practices

i watch college football and, avant, you are the same old biscuit. you cant possibly be insane enough to believe any of this crap you have posted. please God dont try telling us you STILL think jackson is going to be the future of this franchise. the jags have been starting a qb with the equal amount of talent as TJ. Yep, Gerrard. They will never win anything big with him because he simply cannot throw the deep ball with any accuracy. Just like this TJ fellow. Athletic - yes, Driven - sure, Accurate downfield - notta.. Rosenfels should be backup until a qb comes outta the '10 draft. There are at least three qbs in the next draft id go after if i were viking scouts. Who might they be?? vikes all the way baby

He is a bit undersized, QB's are always tough to scout, look at Russell with Oakland, even if you are big and strong it is not a gimme, McCoy would be a complete steal at 25-32, that is a no-brainer, agree with you though we definitely need a MLB and a DT as well.

Top 5 are Tebow, Bradford, McCoy, Lefevour from Central Michigan and Hiller I believe.

My reasoning for MLB and DT is that Henderson might not come back from his injury and Pat Williams has stated he wants to retire if Vikings win the big one.

so I'm thinking;
1)QB
2)DT
3)MLB
4)Wait to see who resigns and who splits.

The best comparison for Colt McCoy is Colt Brennan. Undersized accurate winners in college. I wouldn't touch Colt McCoy til the third round. The only guys I like in the first are Clausen if we trade up, and Bradford or Mallet (if he declares) at the end of round one. 2nd-3rd rounders- Tim Hiller, Dan LeFevour, Tony Pike (3rd). Other than that I don't really like anyone in this class. Locker returning to school really hurt this QB class.

Jackson won the number 2 QB position Rosenfels 3 and you want Rosenfails over Jackson? Bulldog 3, talk about inaccurate. Jamarcus Russell is more accurate then the piece you wrote.

You bought the bull the media is selling on Tim Tebow. I have to dismiss everything else you said because of that statement. Tim Tebow is a project just like Brady Quinn, Nothing more, listen to the scouts.

Bradford is fragile, McCoy is a boy trying to play a mans game.

erie-vike-fan, what a terrible list you came up with.

jacksons only consistency is showing everyone he cannot throw the ball where it needs to be. jackson is a wildcat qb, rosenfels is a passer. only thing jackson has won is chilly's man lust. they need to go after sam bradford. he would be a great addition to the vikes. dump jackson, keep rosenfels, draft bradford.

JD YOU are making me look bad, lol. Seeing how we need a future qb and probably do not want to trade up to get anyone(this is the first year we had all our picks in awhile) I am sticking to my guns and saying we snatch him if he is available, I watched this kid play he is good.

I wonder how far Bradford will drop as well in leiu of his injury, he may also be in our sights if we can trade up a bit. No matter what there are some good QB'S comin' out, this is the best class for them in regards to sheer numbers that there has been in awhile. I am sure we will land one of them.

They weren't listed in any order, the kids from the Michigan schools are big strong kids and may make the best pro's ahead of Tebow and McCoy, I don't know, all of them are potential pro's tho, that is all. As far as safeties who do you like the best-Loston, Jeffery, Holloman, Myles, Bell, or Payne?
