What championship offense? Regular season losing record opponents, and games helped along by the refs (phantom penalties to give the game to Denver over S.D. And dirty hits to take out opponents CB, Welker on Talib) are not the same as playing a winning team without league help. Even Peytons passing yard record was 7 yards short after review but the league "gave it to him". League now hands out records not earned to promote their league. All they have done is proven they will lie for marketing purposes. And Peyton wants the record so bad that he says nothing, which is lieing by default.
They haven't won anything, let alone a championship.. Peyton arranges to have the best receivers, Oline and circumstances (dome at Indy and at altitude in Denver). Yet he still chokes come postseason. How can anyone legitimately expect a championship when his trend is to throw INTs and pick sixes when the game is on the line. Especially games on the largest stage.
PS yet another very telling situation...when Peyton told the media that he didn't want to be paid more than Brady, but when it actually came down to it behind closed doors, he took a lot more and all he could get. Not a problem with getting paid, only with the manipulation to make himself look good and using his buds the media to bring it about. Not to mention that his big payday will impact FA signings. What a facade, and the fans are so gullible. There is the media reported Peyton and then there is the real Peyton. Which one makes it into your perception of the guy. If you listen to the media, you will get a superficial positive view. But if you piece the facts together over time, you get quite a different picture. You can only be manipulated if you allow yourselves to be.

Easiest way to dominate on defense is to use a ground and pound offense. You keep the ball away from your opponents offense and run down the clock. It's hard for a defense to give up a lot of yards or points if you are only giving the other team 6-8 possessions a game.
This is how Rex Ryan used to skew results so it looked like he had trained a great defense. And the media pushed it incessantly. Better measure of a defense is how many yards per drive not per game. It's a fools stat. Number of possessions per game is an offensive stat the NFL doesn't even consider. You should be asking why not?.
On the flip side, if you move down the field rapidly, the opponent will get more possessions which makes your defense work harder and ultimately give up more yards and points. Time the NFL put forth stats that are meaningful vice the crap they currently use. Bet they won't. Of course having a defense that has little give is better still.

Meaningful stats: Patriots ZERO Super Bowl wins since Spygate.
