Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees should share MVP award

I hate ties. OK, maybe tie-goes-to-the-runner is all right and tied shoelaces are a must, but I hate all other ties, from the ones you knot around your neck to the ones that occasionally pop up in sports, dangling there like perpetually uncompleted thoughts.

and we can also throw in Shaky Smithson from the practice sqaud ( WR Utah). He is quick and i believe will make the roster this year, which Ted has to consider before he brings Donald Driver back..Hes in a tough spot on this one.A fan favorite but TT is more then deep enough with young WR and if he does let DD go,any of the North division teams would benefit from signing him.He has some in the tank,he can help a vet qb like Cutler, help and teach a young QB like Ponder, and be a compliment in Detroit.

<quoted text>IMO,how can someone not respect the legacy of the Packers and all they have accomplshed and respect the history of the NFL,but, unf. there are some that do.
As im sure you do as well,I do respect the history of not only the NFL but teams like Pittsburgh ( with the Rooney family and CHuck Knoll, the steel curtain ect) Dallas,SF in the 80s and 90s and other teams. I do feel the same way you do,I am enjoying Packer success and I wont slam on the NYG or anyother champion team. Its a tough title to win ( although i have questioned NE after the 01-05 accusations ect) but slamming someone else wont make your team better. We did argue a ton and both of us could have and or should have handled it better,so live and learn i guess. Both have passion for winning and winning championships,we just have differing opinions of how to get there, but, the most important part isnt who was right or wrong,it is the fact GB got there last year, unf. this year NYG were the better team that day and now its time for the Packers to reload the squad and get back at it next year to bring the title back to Green Bay and hopefully it will happen.
I'm a football fan. I respect any team that wins a Championship. It wasn't the Packers this year, but they were entertaining, exciting and and dangerous. As long as they stay at this kind of level, the Packers will continue to win more than a fair share of NFL Championships.

<quoted text>Not that i take the Bleacher Report as gospel but they mentioned a nice senario.Trading James Jones for a DE.WR is a position of strength and he can bring back a nice return. He did cut back on the drops,he just isnt going to get the playing time he may deserve with Jennings,Nelson,Driver and Cobb around and now you can add Tori Gurley to the mix.I liked TT approach of drafts and trading down for multiple picks, then when close they traded up ( 2 2nds for a higher 2nd and BANG Clay Mathews).IMO this is going to be a year where Ted actually signs a relatively big name in the Market or will pull off something like the trade mentioned above.Again, not that i follow the B.Report and treat it as gospel but....
Obviously the Packers are relatively rich at the WR position. If Thompson does do a trade that is the logical position for the Packers to deal. The Packers really need to create more pressure from the D-line. It should be a high priority. I hope something is done whether it is in the draft, a trade or free agency. We know Thompson's philosophy. You know how I feel, but I'm done pushing my philosphy. As long as Ted keeps doing what he's been doing, there will be no complaints from me. All I care about is results and results have been pretty good lately.

I can def. see the Packers win another SB.They are very talented and young and coached very well.I do wish they can develop some sort of Running game. Our resident viking fan was right though,it didnt help vs NYG and they were able to pressure AR a bit,( although WR dropped or fumbled an uncharacteristic amount of passes and or runs so thats not on AR,but, a running game would help eat clock and keep AR from getting hit)A bit better running game and that one DE to replace Cullen Jenkins as that passrushing specialist and help open up Mathews a bit.One player shouldnt make that much difference in a team game, but, thats the one difference between the SuperBowl Champion Green Bay Packers in 2010 and the 2011 Green Bay Packers that lost to the New York Giants ( not to discredit NY or take anything from them,as GB suffered the lack of pass rush almost all year,) but the one thing different was no Cullen Jenkins,so IMO that must be considered to a certain degree.

that and look at all the extra yards given up by trying to jump routes and missing, extra yards given up by lacking of tackling, technique or missed tackles in general.
Leads the NFL in INT's
Near leads the NFL in Turnovers
Last in the NFL in yards givin up
Near last in the NFL in sacks.
NE wasnt much better defensively and was a dropped pass by Wes Welker from a 1st down inside NY 20 with 3 Minutes left and NY had 1 T.O. left, so NE could have darn well killed the rest of the clock or kicked a FG with near 1 minute left to go up by 6 giving Manning a minute or so to drive 80 yards with No timeouts to win it.
so in short GB still should be and will be amung the favorites to win the SB next year.
I can see EKG point of work to be done, but, i dont think the defense is nearly as far from it as he thinks but i will respect his opinion and after next year he will be right or we will be right.

8 yards total all season (1/2 a yard per game) separated the Packer defense from the Patriots and the Patriots were in the Super Bowl. So obviously a huge amount of improvement is not necessary. However, the more the better. I agree that a stronger ground game is the one thing that would make an already potent offense that much better.

You wouldnt want Donald Driver? He is much mcuh better then any WR Chicago has on the current roster. He would improve your passing game and make Cutler a very good qb.
