5 Reasons Why Denver Broncos Will Be The Team To Beat In AFC In 2014
The Denver Broncos ended 2013 as the AFC Champions. Although the team did not achieve its ultimate goal of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy when they lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII, the Broncos will return in 2014 with motivation.

Rant Sports and specifically author DJ Siddiqi manipulated a few facts to come up with this story to make the Denver hopefuls happy. Question is, did they do it with the leagues approval?
First, the Patriots have not faultered and gone backwards in this years offseason as they wrote, but rather have put together a better defense that may rival, if healthy, the Seahawks defense that obliterated Peyton's brain housing group and his Broncos. Pats front seven will tell just how hard the back end has to work to shut offenses down. Revis and Browner are a fantasy nightmare for opposing QBs with any kind of a QB disruption.
Second, with the loss of Moreno, Peyton loses a guy who was exceptional at picking up the free rusher, keeping Peyton clean. With Moreno gone, it will only take a single solid hit to remove Peyton for the season, then the Broncos have no hope with the jolly green giant as backup. Meanwhile, Pats backup may not be a household name but will pull a Cassell and still get the Pats double digit wins if Brady goes down. Not because of the system, although that is a part of it, but because Mallet is many times the QB that Denver's backup is. So much for Rant Sports and author DJ Siddiqi painting an accurate picture.
It's easy to manipulate the end product with just a minor modification. Here are three of my favorites.
1. Referee gives Kevin Faulk his actual forward progress on fourth and three thereby creating a first down and allowing Pats to run out the clock against Colts. That play knocks Peyton out of the playoffs, and Brady defeats Rex Grossman for his fourth SB victory, meanwhile Peyton remains without a SB victory (the one the league said they were hoping for, very interesting especially now that they have awarded Peyton the passing yards record despite proof that he didn't earn it, lateral vice forward pass).
2. Samuel doesn't drop Eli's fourth quarter pass that hit him in the chest and Pats take possession and run out the clock, thereby winning vice losing, giving Brady his fifth SB victory.
3. Wes Welker doesn't drop a pass that he admits he catches 9 times out of 10, thereby running out the clock giving Brady his sixth SB victory.
When you consider the facts, and that's what these are, it's clear that with a better replay system, one that holds refs accountable, and just a couple of guys who don't screw up, Samuel and Welker, we could be looking at a QB who through no fault of his own could have been a 6-0 SB winner with 5 SB MVPs. Bet that would have changed the media agenda with regards to giving MVPs to Peyton to pump him up.
