Jags give veteran DE Paul Spicer 2-year contract extension

It's a good deal for the team that gives them an opportunity to now transition their focus over to getting the remainder of their draft picks signed.
The one issue that remains for this team is the situation with Mike Peterson. The Jaguars now face the possibility of entering the 2008 season with Peterson being the only veteran playing in the final year of his contract.
My guess is that because of the nature of Peterson's injuries, the Jaguars will probably give him a deal that will allow him to finish his career here. This is especially the case if you look at the level of play he displayed prior to the injury last year.
