This is just what I said yesterday, although I was thinking center with the first pick. Now that I have seen the depth at these positions in this years draft I will have to change that. If one of those NTs are still there we gotta get him, Ferguson wont be playing much longer and Solia doesnt even come close to being a starter. With all the centers I read about Im sure a couple of them will still be around with our 1st pick in the 2nd round. Thats the route we gotta take...GO PHINS!!!

we can get gabe watson from the cards. he's a RFA and would cost a 4th or at best a 2nd round pick

NT is a critical need. Brace is more of a mid 2nd prospect. I know a lot of talk has been made with the center position, but I think the Phins can still snag one in the later rounds.

Phins have a lot of holes, so i would anticipate them to trade in the first round. Obtaining a 4th / 5th rounder to move down about 5-8 spots would be beneficial.

If not Ron Brace than maybe Sammie Lee Hill from Stillman College he is 6-4 330 and would be a good project for Ferg to groom. He would be there in the 4th or maybe even the 5th rd but after that there is nothing close to the NT needed in a 3-4 defence. So if we are going to go after a NT in the draft Raji will not be there at #25 so its Brace or Sammie Lee Hill.

But Bill and Co have somthing in mind and will answer that problem and it will be solved.Must go after SS and FS in this draft YBell and RHill may not be around and even if we sign them we need to get younger at those positions.Must go after CB for the same reasons.

They can always trade up. They are looking to trade Beck anyway, so they can use him as trade bait to move up to get Raji.
I think they need a center , so they should sign the one in Baltimore.

we need WR or inside LB not a NT in the 1st round so B.J. Raji is out we should be looking to get rid Soliai,Jason Allen,Wilford, and trade Beck, and Satele for draft picks.

Gabe Waston is good plus we won`t have to wait to growm him or wast a pick on NT SO we can focus on DBs. What do you think of Dre Bly or Dewayne Robertson free agents?

That would not be a bad move. There is not much difference from the late 1st round to the early second. I am still hoping Miami can trade john beck for a draft pick as this draft is thin on QB's. If Miami cannot snag brace, their best move would be to draft a nose tackle in the later rounds, and bring in a bunch of undrafted free agent nose tackles.

What is it that Beck has (or hasn't) accomplished makes you think some team would consider him so valuable that they would give up their place in the draft to acquire him? Don't forget, Cam Cameron isn't calling the shots in Baltimore

Who would trade their draft position for John Beck? What has he ever done? Yeah, bag him up with Wilford and take Detroit's #1 position. People hitting the bongs early today.

I agree with the Wilford statement. That guy is a leach. Beck has plenty of potential. If we trade him, I hope it is out of the division. This guy is good & we will regret it.

Just about a week ago there was allot of talk here about trading Beck. Im gonna agree with you, he has potential. Trading him would be counterproductive. Why in the world would we trade our 3rd QB then have to look for another. If our O-line didnt suck so bad in 07' perhaps Beck would have made a better first impression, im sure he didnt fumble or get sacked like that in college... I say we keep him, he knows the system and the players. You never know, we just might have to call on him this season. If he comes in and wins games thats great, if not we scrap the season and Beck NFL days are over...GO PHINS!!!

You cannot judge beck on the basis of his past performance. The coaching staff has had a year to work with John Beck. My guess is he's a lot better QB than many think. I will be interested to see him play in preseason.

I've read Miami is looking at Ramses Barden. He's 6'6" and weighs 225. He'd be a great red zone weapon. Parcells doesn't draft WR's in the first round. He likes to draft WR's in the mid to late rounds. I'm betting you'll see Miami bring in some more undrafted free agent WR's.
