I can guarantee it has to do with dining our draft picks 1st, & 2nd Freeney sucks at stopping the run. He only has 1 move on pass rush, & spinning at the LOS, turning your back to the line is far from a good thing. He may not get picked up until training camp when coaches see talent they got in draft picks &UDFA. Even then IMO, he will be no more than a 3rd down pass rusher

Well we didn't go after those other available guys in the draft cause we are trying to money ball this situation and build through the draft. We only need one more Hog iin the middle anyways. I would've loved to see it come from the draft but I think Mckenzie's plan is going as scheduled. Don't be surprised if you see one or more of these practice team players appear on the starting d-line

Usama Young is likely penciled in, no? Or Reggie Smith from Oklahoma? Kind of makes me wish the Giants would give us back that kid from Michigan State we drafted a few years back... god he looks awesome now.

I think Ross will more play than Usama Young. Only because we're playing a hybrid defense &, Ross is a hybrid DB. More adept in playing man coverage, & that's a necessity in a hybrid defense for the FA
FS position. I love what RM is doing with the team as far as the pieces he's bringing in to compete. Now it's up to DA to put the best product on the field, & that will be very interesting concerning Flynn & Pryor, the FS position, & who will start on the D-line.
