If Olson doesn't do well this year it appears it won't be for lack of trying. Sounds like he is working his tail off. Regarding the offensive line play in the Notre Dame game, and the rest of the season for that matter, I couldn't agree more. The one thing Dorrell, et al, appeared to be unable to do was to play to his team's strengths and put his players in a position to succeed. Chow appears to have the ability to call plays which can "mask," if you will, the weaknesses of his team with creative play calling. Here's hoping it all comes together on September 1. One question, did Neuheisel name Cowan the starter? I only recalled him saying that Cowan was "getting the first shot at this." I know Cowan was getting more reps with the 1s up until the time of Olson's injury, but I thought by what I was reading that Olson was actually doing better than Cowan at the time they both went down and was actually getting more reps with the 1s than Cowan. Can anyone clarify? Thanks,

Chow is the master of offense the problem is ucla will lack the talent that is required to operate a chow offense. Its to bad they dont give points for landing on your butt, good luck ben your really going to need it.

Ben is a hard working talented player who seems to get a bad wrap. Im glad Brian did this story so people may see him for what he is. "Only human." He'll do great this year! good luck Ben!

Yes you are right: a quarterback was never named officially. At the time both quarterbacks went down, mr Cowen was showing his true colors and Ben was beating him out it practice. Ben would have been the starter anyway!
