Really good insight. Even more reason to get the first round bye. This really makes sense - this is where they miss Strahan and Osi. Hopefully others will step up somehow.

Great comment! What a stupid thing to say, no line can block us. Te Eagles line is mediocre now because of age and Lack of experience and you could only get 1 sack. And you let Westbrook gain over 100 yds. Wake up, eventually when blitz that much teams figure it out a scheme against. Blitzing can not take the place of talent. the Giants defense misses Osi and Strahan, along with Mitchell.

I think Spags should take a page from Belliceck when he was the D coordinator under parcells. In the passing downs at times the G men would line up the 3-4 than just before the hike Carson and a outside linbacker would go to the line a put a hand on the ground like D the blocking schemes were so messed up for the O line..sometimes they would rush or drop created a lot of confusion with the quarterbacks.

The lack of consistent pass rush this year is going to be the Giants undoing. That and the lack of a real deep (or tall WR) threat means that the Giants are limited on what they can do on offense and defense. Every team deals with injuries and suspensions but the Giants won't be able to overcome losing Osi and Plax this season. I can't see them winning the SB without that relentless pass rush and right now teams have figured out how to counterattack it with short drops and quick passes.

Now that Robbins is back they got the push up the middle but, when bringing in the 3rd DE on passing downs, either Tollefson or Wynn it wasn't working. Maybe leave Cofield in or try some corner or safety blitzes. I haven't seen one of those in awhile. Just don't send everyone, that backfired on Westbrooks TD run. Also the D wouldn't be so "Tuckered" out if the offense could sustain a drive so they could rest.

Why make the Giants play 2 night games in a row? I hate waiting and it will probably be cold again next week. Why not give it to a southern team or someone with a dome. The NFL doesn't give a $hl+ about the fans in the stands only TV networks. Remember the playoffs in Green Bay last year, the coldest day in hell -1 with a wind chill of -23 and they start it at night. maybe if someone died of hypothermia they might change their ways. Plus the Giants don't always play well in prime time. Hope that changes this week.
