The Eagles know the LB position is a weakness on the defense. They have been trying to fill the MLB spot for years. Takeo Spikes, Omar Gaither, Stewart Bradley, Jeremiah Trotter and now Will Whitherspoon. They are not ignoring the problem, they are trying to fix it. They need a sound, athletic tackler who has the speed and ball skills to cover TE in pass coverage. Whiterspoon is athletic, speedy and skilled in pass coverage. He is a good pickup.
