Raiders look tougher

Aug 10, 2010 Full story: ESPN

This is the best I've felt about a Raiders team in years. Two years ago, I forecast a seven- or eight-win season based on an easy Raiders schedule.

I really like what I hear about Rolando McClain and Lamar Houston...If any of you remember Houston was the main guy I was worried about when we drafted him and it sounds like he's gonna prove me wrong. Mike Mitchell sounds like he's ready to fight his way into the starting lineup. Trevor Scott and Tyvonn Branch are coming off stellar second years. I'm still worried about the offense. Jason Campbell was a good upgrade over JBust, but the OL is still iffy and the receivers seem to be getting injured a lot. I do like that DHB has been working to make 9 catches for 124 yards and a TD his average game stats rather than his season total....It's time to WIN in 2010!!!!!!!!!!

This is where I felt we needed the most help, o-line...but they did play better when Gallery was healthy and played a little better when Gradkowski started. So maybe if they rally around campbell they will play good enough to get us a couple more wins this years. I am not expecting miracles this season but would be please at 8-8 as long as we look like we are improving. I do think Houston is going to be a maniac on the field which is a good thing. I be he is are shining rookie. I know th epopular choice is McClain, but I like Houston's attitude and lack of fear. Reminds me of a player named Alzado!

and you had to mention ALZADO! that guy was is my hero in the all time RAIDERS list. i never really thought of houston like that but just hearing how badly he wants to hit and go after someone, i really want to see him play that role. i'm really excited for mcclain and his leadership. they say he plays practice like a veteran. i want to worry about the (O) but with new coaching, players may have changed "hopefully". gentlemen, i think we are off to a good start!
RAIDERS 2010!!!
