I don't agree with this article. I believe the Raiders to have good depth at this position. Schilens, DHB, Murphy and JLH could all start. Watkins has shown to be very dependable (caught a dart from Russell late in the KC game) when given the opportunity. Miller has potential if healthy. Ford will probably make the team to return kicks. That is seven WRs. Not to mention the host of other WRs signed on the Practice Squad and before Camp. The Raiders will have a difficult decision if they only keep six WRs (which they should) to have more players for the O-line. Bringing a Vet would only make the situation more crowded and more difficult to solve.

If Vincent Jackson becomes available the raiders better jump on him as quick as everyone in the nfc will be jumping on the viking bandwagon when they are in the SB in 2011. The raiders have no proven threat at WR and their offense will continue to struggle if someone doesnt step it up. They need a guy who will draw double coverage and open the field up for run plays. We shall see who emerges as that threat. Cmon raiders - youre better than this dammit

Vincent Jackson may help a team, but I don't believe the Raiders will sign him if available. I think the Raiders will take the same approach the Vikings took/are taking with Rice and Harvin. A better QB will bring better results at the WR position. Rice was hardly a "proven receiver" before Favre arrived and the Vikings drafted a gem. The Vikings will be tough to beat this year. Good Luck this season.
