what a waste of a draft. The Jets should have traded out of the sixth spot with the Saints, Bengals or Jaguars for extra picks and then picked up Jonathon Stewart or the guy the Steelers ended up with a little later in the first round. Gholston is the next Byran Thomas, workout warrior who does zilch in the pros until it is time for a new contract then he will show just enough to get said contract and immediately go back to being a bust. In the second round the Jets should have picked a big receiver with big play ability and then used some of the picks they could have obtained from trading down in the first round to trade back into the middle of the second round for Henne or Brohm. Trading up for a tight end who can't block is just sad when you have two making big money and in their 20's already on the roster. This team needed playmakers more than anything. Instead it is same old Jets: another year of two below average quarterbacks, a running back without big play potential, midget possession receivers and a bunch of overpaid and underachieving tightends, offensive lineman and "pass rushers".

what's up with the jets section of this page? IN A MIAMI NEWSPAPER! this is worse than seeing a jets hat for sale in the dolphin stadium pro shop. stop the pandering to the greasy jets fans. they don't belong in florida...don't make them feel so welcome!

Tressle is a classless louse and that's one reason he can't win a national championship. This mindless chatter in defense of his non-performer is a perfect example. Apparently he can pay the best to come to Ohio State but he can't coach them to a championship. Maybe if he sticks to playing non-SEC schools, he could win.

Sounds like Tressel has a man crush, maybe he coached Gholston in the shower too. Gholston got one sack off of Long and that means he own's Long ? I don't think so. Another negitive story by a Miami paper, trying to tear down whatever the Dolphins do.

i AGREE, I can understand how we have so many fans here for NY teams, it is afterall NY South. But I still can't understand the desire to follow the new jersey jets. Or maybe, homeless jets fans, homeless jets team. I see a patern here.

Why the F*&K do I have to look at Jet's schedule and some future Jet's malcontent on the Sun Sentinal's website?

If I wanted to see such crap, I’d go take a dump!

Who cares if he was able to puch Jake back, he still only sacked the QB once. Puch him around, so long as the QB isn't sacked or the play wasn't terribly interrupted, Long did his job.

Tressel comes off sounding like a whiner, his boy Gholston got 1 sack on Long...Huh? Whooptee-do, Big deal - lets see what happens now that they're both in the pros - they'll be seeing each other twice a year.
Lets see who wins the battles when it counts. My bet is on Long.

Tresell must have had an eye problem that day. I watched and taped the game. One sack for OSU but Long pancaked the $hit out of Gholston all game long and long kept Gholston out of most plays without any help.
The Dolphins got the better player.
PS to the SS, stop with the news on the Jets. If ex-NY'ers want to follow the Jets, move back to NY!
J-E-T-S suck, suck, suck.
