Full story: Newsday

So much for the trap game. Coming off their biggest victory of the season and with a first-place battle in New England looming Thursday night, the Jets emphatically took care of business by blasting the inept ...

Ok Mangini.. I've been call for your head. But I have to admit, today was a nice job. I'm going to wait until Thursday to see what you can come up with against New England before I have you over for dinner.
You get the boys ready and win. It's a short week, so get to work.

And I'm sure you can do much better, right?

Now tied for first and yet another team record set today (point differential) and there are still diseased tards like you who are down on the Jets.

Mangini, Favre and the rest of this pumped up squad are going to tear the cheater and his all woman orchestra a 2nd @sshole this Thursday night.

The Pats looked efficient in their win against the Bills. But, the Jets devastated the Rams worse than Kurt Warner did. And the Pats barely beat a unsynced Jets offense.

Now with several weeks and a couple of close, tough games done with, it's time to get down to business.

The Jets will make Thursday's game a signature game like they did in Buffalo. They will make a clear statement that the only team that they have to fear would be Miami.

New England and Buffalo are done for the year.

Could you say any more buzzwords? The only "signature" "clear statement" is that the Pats are a better team than the Jets..

I think the term you were looking for is "cliche," not "buzzword."

In any case, you think the Pats are better than the Jets? Well, we'll find that out on Thursday night, big boy.

Seeing as Miami scored an away win in Foxboro against New England, I wouldn't go betting to heavy on this one. Anything can happen in the AFC east right now.

Typical Jet fan. J-E-T-S still stands for Just End The Season. Beat a real team first and then we'll see.

Did I read that right? 47-3? I thought that was a misprint. Looks like the Lambs just laid down & died in the second half. Then again, you;re down 40-nil at halftime, you're pretty much out of it. For Gang Green, a win is a win. But as Bill Rafferty of Card Sharks once said,(not to be confused with sportscaster Bill Raftery), glory is short lived. ONly 3 days to get ready for the Patriots sans Tom Brady. Not going to be easy, but hey you beat the Bills in enemy territory so why can't they do the same to Belicheat's Patsies. We shall see. GO GANG GREEN! Beat the kapok out of that cheater.

Jim @aol Good hearing from you pal. Well what do you think later on this week, when the dealing can start. Only 154 days for Citifield's opener & 157 days for the new Yankee Stadium. Hope both our teams can get the right players & maybe just maybe we can both be in the postseason. Anyway, enjoy your day.

Hey Todd, good to hear from you. I can't wait for the dealing to begin. Both clubs need some help and I'm hoping they go right after it as soon as it's OK to talk money!
I'm still house hunting in Arizona but I'm going to take some time from that and go for a motorcycle ride today and take in another AZ fall league game tomorrow. I met Ron Santo at a game on Saturday-real nice guy! Also met Reggie-what a s/c/u/m/b/a/g he is, but no surprises with that. I always suspected he was and never liked him even as a Yankee.
Have a great day and be well buddy! Stay in touch!

yeah Jim agree 100% about the immortal Reginald Martinez Jackson. Real arrogante, just not a friendly guy. Mick the Quick Rivers said it best. Your first name belongs to a black, middle belongs to a Latin, & last name belongs to a Caucasian. No wonder you;re screwed up. Ronnie Santo, heck of a player who sadly never made postseason. Best remembered for clicking his heels during a MEts Cubs series which was the wrong thing to do. What do you think happened next? When they Met at Shea on 9-8-69, Hands vs Koozy, Hands decked Tommie Agee then later Koozy hit Santo in the wrist with a pitch. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of 1969 which by the way next year the 40th anniversary of that Miracle Team along with the grand opening of Citifield. Hope they'll be lots of events to remember that club. Be well.
