I know I rooted for the Giants yesterday, but now i'm rooting for the Packers. I will hand it to the Giants. They played one he!! of a game and shut down Dallas.

It would be so nice to see such a great QB try one more superbowl especially at his age. You got to love Favre.
The guy has done the impossible.

My Superbowl prediction will be....

Packers vs. Pats

Winner
Pats

It already has on the Cowboys thread.
The funny thing is, it isn't about the Eagles right now. It's about the post season and I had a feeling the Giants would take that game because Dallas has been under par of late. I do think the Packers will beat the Giants though.

At least the 'Boys made the playoffs. How many Super Bowl wins do the Eagles have? Oh, that's right, ZERO. How many do the Boys have? FIVE.

Again, that is not relevant unless you're here just to pick on Eagles fans. What's relevant is what 4 teams are left in the Playoffs. One of them is proving to be the best team of all time.

You just keep living the past... The distant past! Dallas hasn't done anything relevent in almost a dozen years. There are only 6 teams in the entire NFL that havn't won a playoff game in ten years...that puts them in the worst 20% in the league.
btw - I'm a Pat's fan.

It's Ok - I'll let anyone on my wagon.
Grew up in NE in the sixties - I remember their first seasons as an exapnsion team. Dreadful. At the time I was an Eagles fan and learned to love them. Everybody that know me, knows I've been on their wagon over 40 years. They got no respect when they were losers and they get no respect as winners. Not like all the Cowboy fans that have a team that is in the bottom 20% of the league for ten years.

NE had it rough, they were terrible for decades, but they are getting more respect, breaks and bandwagon jumpers, ect then any team in the past 10 or so years!

Favre is still in at least the top 5 QBs in the league. His team is young and good. Lol, he could probably play three or four more years...does anyone else wonder if his unprecedented long run is a direct result of his being the first great QB to have played his entire career under the "don't break the QB" rules that were put in after that year in the late 80s or early 90s when most all the star QBs were put out of action early in the season? Remember, at Favre's age, Marino could barely move from knee trouble...

If the Packers beat the Giants (and I certainly hope they do), it will present an awkward decision for the NFL. Who should be allowed to win the Super Bowl? NE with their perfect season or the Cinderella team with Graybeard at the helm? Watch the officiating to see which team they decided to bestow the win upon. It just might be the Packers. That would nearly rival the US Olympic hockey win over the Russians and still keep the Dolphins perfect season mystique in tact (somewhat).

IF we didnt have Favre, its a done deal, but the refs and the NFL will have a hell of a time,i agree. So I wonder if the refs will be instructed to sc**w the Packers in the NFC title game to save the refs the trouble of the SB?
The Giants have alot bettter chance at beating us than SD has of beating the Pats, although the Pats arent a certain shot.

Most people don't remember how bad the rest of the league was in 1972. The best record (of the teams Miami beat) in the AFC was KC who finished 8-6. The AFC East was horrible - Jets 7-7, colts 5-9, Buf 4-9-1, and NE 3-11. Including a 52-0 smackdown of the Pat's. The Patriots had it easy in the division yet defeated most of the playoff teams this year.
