Uh, the numbers tell me that Denver had an awful defense that gave away to many games in the second half of the season for the offense to over come. Lovie has very little to do with the offense, so a comparison to the Bronco's former head coach makes little sense. The Bears have a good running game, good tight ends, and hopefully a fairly solid O-line. If they get some average production out of the receivers they can easily win 10 games next year. They won 9 games this year with Kyle freaking Orton and half their O-line on the DL!
The reason the Bears defense has looked so mediocre the past two seasons is they could never get off the field. The offenses time of possession has been horrible and has killed the defense. That's how they got to the Superbowl in 2006, ball control, field position with Hester and time of possession.
Thanks, great post!! You see whats going on. The Bears are gonna surprise people this year!! BEAR DOWN! GO BEARS,2009 DIVISION CHAMPIONS!!

You dont know your Football do you? As far as offensive/defensive minded coach's go. That is why you have Coordinators, one for offense and one for defense! Also the average age on the Bears defense is 27!! We have a few older guys, but not the majority,Sorry! By the Way We are NOT the Bronco's!! I dont care what the Frickin Bronco's did, this is the Bears now,the past is the past. A talented 26 yr old Pro Bowl Franchise Q.B will have a big impact & career in Chicago!!The Pessimist's are just Jealous and Worried and you should be,Yeah.. Facts are Cutler has what he needs in Chicago and the Bears are his childhood team. So he is happy and will give 125%. The Bears will be clicking on all cylinders now and they Will Dominate! If you look at this Bears team with a open mind, they are a scary team right now! See you later Bear fans bear down. The Bears will Dominate and win the Division this year....
Yeah you are not the broncos, thanks for the update. The Broncos had plenty of weapons for Jay, and their offense was middle of the road. What does Chicago have, Hester? LOL, Al Harris will smack him all over the field just like last year. They do have the POTENTIAL to be a scary team, but I'm not buying into it just yet. Their Defense doesn't worry me, only Forte is a legitimate threat, maybe Olsen, but that's it.

green bay will be in last place behind the shrewd jew in charge of detroit because both their picks will either bust or take a year or two. The bears are going to the superbowl.

Either way Cutler is going to pick apart what ever defense the cheese heads have. The secondary is going to be like FREE CHEDDAR!!
Free cheddar. hilarious stacy king comment during the bulls game. gotta incorporate that into my vocab more often...especially against the cheeseheads.

I'm more concerned with our D than that of the packers. secondary scares me

Does it matter? It's not like the Bears are going to put any points on the board anyways.

<quoted text>Wow, the worst division in the NFL and the Broncos choked. The Broncos offense was middle of the road in the NFL last year. Look up the numbers before talking back. Plus they had a Superbowl offensive minded head coach, you have a defensive minded coach, and your defense is getting old and banged up. But the Packers have plenty of issues too, don't get me wrong.

I think there's a reason Denver let their QB go. I fear we just got snother slightly above average QB. It takes a special, hungry QB to win the Superbowl and I don't think we yet have that guy.

I thought the title of this post was Capers and his efforts to revive GB's defense with the 3-4. Why are we talking about Cutler and the Bears??? For this article who cares about what Cutler does or doesn't do.

What the Bears really need is a special QB like Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson, just to name a few.
