why doesn't f*%k head Childress address the report about possibly s*c*r*ewing up the CUTLER deal...better still, unless the idiot calls a press conference to say he is resigning or has been fired: i think the MInnesota media should ignore the SOB forever!!!

Hopefully they sign Winfield, and the "some elements" of the Vikings organization don't let this talent go.

i knew it once he compared tjack to mcnabb i knew we were in trouble, childress is an idiot. he couldn't get done in Phili, it is the same problems all over again for him has stud running back (Westbrook/Peterson) and can't get them the ball. He had success one year when he had TO after that they stunk all over again yeah what a genius! And oh good more PA passes! so we can watch tjack run in circles and throw a 3 yd pass to Kliensasser. we scare no one with the pass sign a WR please!!!

Klink + Bevell = "Some elements".

"Some elements" - Cutler = stupid.

Stupid + "Some elements" = low ticket sales.

Why can't a business man like Wilf see that?

This team, even with "some elements", was STILL good enough to take division. THAT'S what's being squandered. Kee-riced! One good QB away, everyone knows it, and "some elements" fumble again. I think that they went to the Troy Williamson School of Grasping Opportunities...

Well, I guess that we really don't have any choice. Scrotum Head & other "elements" are having Turdvirus & Dose-and-fall compete to see who gets to squander an excellent Defense, and great RBs THIS season.

Great posts everybody :(

A column on Winfield and we're back to talking about Cutler.

An article earlier in the week or maybe last week on Winfield mentioned he wanted to retire a Viking and was willing to move to safety later in required. Love this guy. I've thought for a while now that he needed to be resigned and moved to safety when he starts to slow a little. He is very similar to Bob Sanders, without the pythons. Lock him up.

The Vikings haven't decided whether to match the $1.4 million offer sheet fullback Naufahu Tahi received from Cincinnati.

Match it already. He did a good job last year. Who else would we get?

I can't believe he is still comparing TJack to McNabb and other great QB's. This guy is delusional about this QB situation here and needs to lose his job for how stupid he has been. He could be the most hated coach in MN history after his idiotic nix of Cutler (not to mention drafting Jackson instead of getting Cutler in the first place). I hate to be negative, but this guy is out of control. Just because he basically backed in the the playoffs with no chance of actually winning that game, he now thinks everything is on the "right track". He'll be booed out of the dome after our QB makes mistake after mistake.

Extending Winfield is a smart idea and guarantees continuity in the secondary for a couple more years. It enables the Vikes to concentrate this years draft upper rounds on another speed receiver like Heyward-Bey or Harvin in round 1 and a quality O Lineman in round 2. Harvin would be a great fit especially with Chester leaving next year.
By the way Cry Babies & Whiners, Cutler is showing he is no bargain. I like our chances with our guys.
You'd all be stabbing Cutler in the back after his first bad game anyway.

You got that right. I was thinking the Press had the link wrong and I was back on the Cutler article.

Winfield's a stud and is now playing at his best. He pretty much won the Saints game by himself last year. With his quick feet and hard hitting style he would be a good safety if we could find another caliber starting CB in the draft, such as Vontae Davis from Illinois. Hard to tell how the draft will go, but all the top WR and OT may be off the board by 22, so grabbing Davis if he's available would make our defense even better.

Yep. Anyone that can throw for over 200 yards a game consistently beats what we got. I know Sage has a terrible win-lose record, but those loses the Texan defense gave up 31,28,41, and 33 points. Put him with a decent defense and the best running game in the NFL and our chances of winning are better. We still need to do well in the draft though to push us over the one and done playoff team we were last year though.

I hope they don't. There are still plenty of FA FB available that are better than Tahi and we can get at the same value. Tahi is a good blocker, but is not a complete FB, meaning he is not a good pass catcher or runner in space.

I think Sage would make a great back-up for Cutler. And yeah they would be stupid to lose Chester the third down stud. The guy rocks.
