Looks like this is starting to be a trend around here. First the Seahawks beat us to TJ Hous now this too. Sheesh who can the vikes beat this offseason??? Are they offering like the lowest money possible or something or is Minnesota just that un-attractive?

let me guess...he wanted to play on a team with an NFL Quarterback?
Yeah he was like hmmm...lets see....two waterboys posing as QBs for the Vikings or McNabb for the Eagles....I think I'll go with the Eagles. I don't think Childress gets it still. Other than Chilly, everyone else is not head over heels for the starting tandem of mighty Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels.

What about Klinesassaer? Just make him our FB, he's one of the best run blockers in the game. So why don't the Vikes just go sign another TE to take his place and just put him at the starting FB position?

Oh well.......its not like the guy was really known by anyone and the Vikings, especially AP are better off without him. Weaver would have just clogged up the line!

Who cares if the Vikings don't win every off season battle, just as long as they win during the season. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be?

I am talking this year. Greenway and Peterson were acquired via the draft I am talking current FAs Childress made his comment before the season started last year about the new Kick Ass Offense and after 2 games he yanks the plug on Jackson. Then he decides to let a chump like Ferarro hang around all year long and still retain him only to wait for him to leave on his own.
This "wich way is the wind blowing today" approach to the QB situation and the inconsistent play and conservative play calling.......how does a potential FA take stock in that when you can't even decide who your QB is on starting day and there has been a 3 year resume between the 2.
my point is that we still have quality players who have chose to come to here even with childress as head coach. im not really sure how much i like childress, because he has made some bad decisions since being here, but he has also made some good moves and brought in some good players.

Who cares? A fullback? Let's bring Pat Williams or Jimmy Kennedy in when we need one or two yards. I'm not for paying a guy 1.4 million to get in AD's way. I just don't like how we are losing out on all the FA's.

but we need a guy to pick up that extra defender like the outside linebacker or safety playing up. any good fullback like neal or griffith doesnt get in the way of the running back. and every good running back like AD knows how to shield off of its lead blocker.

I have to say it is incresingly frustrating to see childress's infatuation with Jackson. Childress ran Gus off because he did not want the Wilf's demanding a QB change after TJ stinks it up. Players are not dumb. They realize how important the QB position is and don't want to be on a team with a pop warner starter. I usually give the benefit of the doubt, but childress is the most incompetent, self-absorbed, thinks he is clever (but not) poor excuse of a coach. I for one am sick of seeing that uninspired dome of his explaing "the scheme".

Agreed; I don't like seeing our team lose these free agency contests. We should be signing the sort of players that motivate other good players to want to sign with the Vikings. Let's hope it goes better the rest of the way. Skol Vikings.

Gee, we missed out on another h-back/fullback/tightend guy? Boy, that would have allowed us to open up the offense. What is it Brad Childress' kick-ass offense that makes having 5 or 6 of these guys on the roster important?

Get Neal at FB, 2 Offensive linemen for the right side, and Torry Holt for route running and maybe Sage can get the ball moving.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
