It's all in who you want to believe. Some "analysts" have us as one of the top teams in the NFC. Injuries, suspensions, an officiating call here and there can make or break a season. For the most part it'a a balanced league that any team could get hot (except for a couple) and make a run deep in the playoffs. I like our defense, and if we can get some sort of balance on the offensive side we got a real good shot.

These are the same people who, with absolute certainty, predicted the Packers to win the North last year, with the Bears coming in second place, and the Vikes finishing third.

Seriously, it's mandatory as a sportscaster to have a love affair with the Packers... and don't you think it's funny that even when Chicago's defense SUCKS like it has recently, they still talk about that "solid defense" in Chicago, and become completely enamored now that Cutler is there, despite him having anyone to throw the ball to?

THIS IS WHY... I love it when they pick us to finish 3rd in the division. It's virtually a guarentee that in reality, we'll win it again. With or without Butt Favore.

Yes, don't believe most of these people. If you believe in Charley Walters, you will be totally surprised by actaul events, because that turkey spins his yarns out of fairy dust, just to get a rise out of you.

I like it better when the Vikes are "supposed to do poorly". I think it is better to come in under the radar.

I did watch the same thing, but they were picking 6 teams out and 6 new teams in because of the pattern in the recent years on how many different teams are in the playoffs compared to the year prior. The Vikings were a easy pick because the QB situation. The analyst kept the 6 that was hard to believe that they wouldn't be back into the playoffs. Until they actually make their predictions I wouldn't worry about what they said until it is a prediction of theirs and not picking from 12 teams 6 out and 6 in that is new!

Why does the short bus swing through wisconsin, picking up the most undesirable to post on a Vikings site?
The whole NFC North is scared to death of Minnesota, particularly the Favre/GB bunch. Well, if it keeps them from drooling all over themselves, maybe we can tolerate a couple stooges.
