Couln't have said it better my myself Bill. Can't stand sore winners, act like ya been there before. I hear ya about Washington, with all this talk about Najeh and he deserves it, we forget that Washington finally got over his occasional butter fingers. I don't think he dropped a pass did he? anyway 2 touchdowns is awesome and I bet he has got tons more confidence now. Washington is our deep threat receiver and can stretch the field big time. that frees up ward and holmes underneath. Players are steppin up bigtime! Let's go STEELERS!
Merry Xmas Slick! Merry Xmas, Bob R, Fast Willie,
Rex, Steelers Woman, MW Steeler, Pgh Marine, Pgh Native and the whole of the STEELERS NATION!
You are sooooo right! Act like ya been there before. Thats Class with a capital C.
Nate Wash has all the physical tools to be a very viable threat on the O. You're right his confidence has to be growing. Lets hope he continues to make plays.
I also agree with you on players stepping up. There is certainly alot of that still to do. It will take a concentrated team effort from here on out. We're considered the UNDERDOG once again.
The New Steelers like PLAYING that role. I kinda like it too.

STEELERS ROCK!!! ON TO CHICKEN TOWN!!! TAKING NO PRISONERS ON THE WAY TO THE CROWN OF THE AFC NORTH!!!

and when i played good sportmansship was keeping your yap shut and letting your game play talk for you. you call trash talking representing your community well? in society and in what ever job you have, do you trash talk to your rivel companies? i doubt it. you really do need to get a grip.

your fellow steeler fan posted about the pats fans comming back after the game and dissing you so to speak. well if you guys had not been bad mouthing before the game that would not have happened, you guys caused it. if you don't like it stop talking trash. if you can't handle it don't start it - simple! i do believe you were told that we would be back after the game to collect the trash.

Yea! Sore winners & losers! When I played we wore a jacket & tie and were told to represent our team, our school and community well. I hear some of these tv commentators talking about if its alright for coaches to shake hands after the game. Man! Its called good sportsmanship!!!!! It used to be a big part of learning how to function in society.
Najeh was Najeh! I had him on the bubble. He needs to keep being Najeh. Nate Wash found some magic hands or gloves somewhere to the last coupla games.
STEELERS ROCK!!! HERE WE COME RAVENS...HERE WE COME!!!

Bob you are way late! Thats your problem. I know who I am. You seem to have some insecurities about Cheerleading! For the last time! I object to the idiots, perverts, and ignoramusses that attack posters in a mean an evil
manner (women, children, greiving widows, etc).
Posters that are totally insensitive to conditions that might be sensitive to those posters!) I don't believe I'm wrong for that. I have not and will not cross those lines.
Before a game I will lead Cheers and join in... all in fun. After the game...Win or Lose...I will say good game...give praise to those who deserve it...see ya next game...see ya next season or whatever. I DON'T rub it in your face days or weeks post game (win or lose). I will always promote, defend and support my team and the Steeler Nation. I'm not going to write a book on it. Thats it! Enuff said! BOL (and I mean that)!

heres the thing bill. i commend you, as if you care what i think, for sticking up for and not crossing the lines you mention. however its the lines that are at issue.

you are right you don't rub it in post game, that i have seen. but how do pats fans (or any other teams fans) know thats not because the pats (or their team) won the game? if the steelers won would you have rubbed it in?

see when you like to talk trash before a game, the fans you are talking to, have no way of knowing your intentions for after the game. to them you could be just like before the game, they would not know unless the steelers win. so you leave your self open for anyone who thinks you would still be talking smack if your team had won.

the lines i refer to are the respect lines. its not good enough to have respect for the other team only after the game, you need to have respect before the game as well. otherwise it can get out of hand, i think we both have seen and been involved in some of that.

when you diss another team, its players, or its city, it brings up emotions from people living in those places. reading posts on the net is not like being in person and it can be quite hard sometimes to "get" what a person is trying to convey. you may be trying to be funny, kid around or whatever, but sometimes thats not how its taken.

well this post is going to read like an hour on the couch at the shrinks office so i'll leave you. i'm not trying to preach, god knows i'm one of the last ones who should due that. just trying to get you to think about it from another view point.

anyway, merry xmas to all of you!

What ever dude. You can rationalize all you want, it's standard behavior to shake hands after a game. Even browns fans have come up and shaked hands after the game in bars where I've watched Steelers vs Browns. Trash talk is part of pumping yourself up pregame and even something you do during the game. Here in western PA we congratulate the other team on a game well won...unless they are sore winners then we fight back. What you and all the other sore winner pats fans have found out is that we fight back pretty hard and don't back down. You want to call names you picked the wrong crowd to yell at. LET'S GO BLACK AND GOLD!!! POST SEASON BABY!!!!

I ain't shaking no Bengals/Browns fans' hands. They need to bow before me & offer their virgin daughters for my amusement.
STEELERS need to develope a killer instinct. Make other teams fear them like they did in the 1970's.
DESTROY!
Ummmmm...I have no response to that. I got no problem with smacktalk, anyone on this forum can tell you that. But as long as people aren't poor winners gloating and stuff I prefer to let it go after the game is over. I do agree about the fear part though.

Even a few years back when the Bus was running downhill teams didn't like to play the Steelers. It seems that the jags have that role now; let's take it back! Smashmouth is comming, watch the running game with Davenport, Davis and even Russel may get a chance. LET'S GO BLACK AND GOLD!!!!

Merry Xmas to you too Bob! I do understand the other side. I'm not SMUG, ARROGANT, BULLYing, CONCEITED, HARRASSING OR HIDIN & CRAWLIN AROUND LIKE A ROACH either. The caps are not for yelling, but for emphasis. Those adjectives & verbs is what I've seen from alot of you NE fans tho. Very few of you NE fans have been reasonable. I appreciate you for trying to be. Once again BOL. You guys have a long way to go yet. Its a shame most of the country won't be behind you. You have certainly lost one supporter here whether you get to the SB or not.

Hey Bill, have you noticed that this past week power running is winning games? Guess what it's December and that's the way it goes. The giants have a couple of punishing backs and I think they'll do well against the pats. Maroney had good stats against the phins but it all came on 2 runs. He looked pretty ineffective the rest of the time. I love it that everyone is already crowning the pats. Two years ago they were doing the same to everyone but the Steelers. I'm liking it. LET'S GO BLACK AND GOLD!!!

Yea I don't know if its weather related or not. Pounding the ball has always been a winning equation. Got to control that clock & let the D catch their breath. There seems to be an abundance of young pounders out there this season.
Once again the Steelers are "low on the radar." They seem to like that role. With all the "GLOATING" to borrow your word going on in NE & the media fanning the flames it can all come crashing down at anytime. Of course we already know that. Maroney had a couple of breakout runs. They were good efforts on his part. I can't take that away from him.
Miami played a good game I thought. They just did'nt have the "O" to overcome after the D made the adjustments in the 2nd 1/2. Joe Peezy had a good game as did Woody Highs' Jason Taylor.

STEELERS ROCK!!! MAN! What players PGH & Western PA has given to the NFL! I had forgotten about Taylor.
