Does it matter at this point?

Did the person that wrote the headline for this story watch the game? "Sewell plays strong"? What does "plays strong" mean? Passed accurately? NOT. Made good decisions? NOT. Had command of the offensive plan? NOT. Lead his team? NOT. This isn't Jameels fault. How he ever was evaluated and recruited as someone that has Div 1 Football talent at quarterback still amazes me. That is the ongoing failure of Virginia football. They continue to recruit and evaluate talent poorly, expecting at some point to get different results from following the same failed plan.

I don't doubt that he has a lot of heart, but Wilbur is right. He is 1 AA QB at best. He does not consistently have the touch or composure that it takes to be a major college quarterback. Excellent Athlete, and this is where I think Groh makes his mistakes. You can recruit all of the 6'3 220 guys you want that are good athletes, but at this level you have got to have playmakers and kids who know how to fight. Most Prep school kids don't have that killer instinct.

I think he's got a lot of potential -- be nice if there was a coach that knew how to actually COACH him . . .
