If I recall, the NFL did not specifically ban Star Caps and won their argument solely on the clause that states the players are responsible for what they ingest.

While I agree, if the NFL knew about Star Caps, they should have immediately put it on their banned substance list when they proved that Star Caps contained the banned substance.

If the NFL is truly worried about the integrity of the game, then they should let the players know as soon as they determine a substance is banned.

Goodell initiated a Personal Conduct Policy, why did it take two years to suspend John Jolly for illegal drugs and parties after ordered to obstain from such activities by the judge.

This article exposes the true meaning of "zero tolerance" policies, in education or other bureaucratic settings. Why do real work to expose misconduct when you can just huff and puff about meaningless results?

I hope the players get to sue the NFL for Anti-Trust issues. I'd like to see Goodell fined for his part. Serves him right...

It's the same thing every offseason: Brett Favre can't just tell us whether he's coming back or not. The news has to trickle out in fits and starts, with little hints coming from Favre, his agent and his family. And Thursday we have an example of the kind of hint coming from Favre's family that shows just how ridiculous all the Favre offseason drama can get.

Patrick Reusse of 1500 ESPN in Minnesota is reporting that "inside sources at Lifetime Fitness" have informed him that Deanna Favre, Brett's wife, has renewed her membership at a Twin Cities-area gym to cover the 2010 football season.

Yes, we've reached the point where we're not just talking about Brett Favre's offseason workouts. We're also talking about Deanna Favre's in-season workouts.

But as ridiculous and frivolous as it is, it's actually worth mentioning: If the Favre family is making plans for another season in Minnesota, that's one more very strong indication that Favre plans to play for the Vikings this year. He won't report to training camp with the rest of his teammates, of course -- he doesn't like running wind sprints in the July and August heat, and who can blame him?-- but he'll be there some time around the middle of the Vikings' preseason schedule.

Favre still claims he hasn't made up his mind, but everyone agrees that he'll play for the Vikings this year. It only makes sense for his wife to start getting ready for another year in Minnesota GO VIKINGS

I'll say it one more time. The league sees dollar bills coming from the steroids players took to bulk up. They like to scapegoat somone for taking diuretics, and they would never discourage the substances diuretics are supposed to hide.
