Full story: TwinCities.com

Even before he joined South Carolina's coaching staff in January 2008, Ellis Johnson was aware of Gamecocks middle linebacker Jasper Brinkley.

To a Vegas Viking Fan, who knows all because his state consists of not one professional sports team

People pay way too much attention to these players. History shows us that half of the first round picks won't even pan out, so I can't get too excited just yet for anyone drafted past the 3rd round.

The reason they pay way too much attention to these players is BECAUSE they make up the majority of the players currently playing in the NFL. If they didn't, they could possibly draft a player like you, whose only position they are good at playing is the pole position. Stick to the slots, slappy.

Well genius, when nearly every player the Vikings drafted in the "Tice" era either sucked on the field or off and the new coach comes in and cleans out most of the house, its kind of hard not pick up free agents. If they relied soley on the draft, the Vikings would not have enough players to put on the field. I haven't heard or seen one person claim any steals. They HOPE for a steal. Whats the problem with getting Allen. He was 10 times better than ANY DE they could have drafted. They actually look brilliant for that trade. What did the Jets get with Goulston? How about the Jags with Harvey, and they traded way up to get him. What DE in the rookie class outperformed Jared Allen this past year. I'd like to see one of them out-perform him this year or even the next. Sorry, it won't happen. Personel wise, the Vikings are in the top half of the league at bringing in talent. The only thing keeping them out of the top 5 is the QB position. Brad's gonna make all you bitter fans look stupid for all your b!tch!ng and whining about the QB too.
more homer S>H>I>T...they are the BEST at every position in the nfl...hahahahahahahaha...CHILD O why are you logging in from PA, you must be spending the off season back home...boy what a talented squad you have

Oh, and this goes to show how much you really follow the NFL. Pretty much all analysts and writers liked the pick of Brinkley. I'm not gonna sit here say he's the next Ray Lewis or make any other ridiculous predictions. But because the Vikings drafted a player you never heard of; "oh, my gosh, he sucks". Get the hell outta here.
And yeah, hammer is a tool
another weasel talkin tough behind his keyboard....sure,the best draft ever in the nfl again ....such a good draft that most analysts have it rated as a C/C-...listening to the likes of a Paul Allen on kfan means nothing ...he is a complete MORON like YOU

To a Vegas Viking Fan, who knows all because his state consists of not one professional sports team: I like to suck on sweaty testicles on Sunday afternoons, because I can't afford to go to games. That's because I'm a high-school dropout who can't get a decent job anywhere. That's on top of being a little light in the loafers. Get it? "On top"? Yeah, I'm a top, for sure...
A little more information than the rest of us wanted, Whatever... Afraid I won't be helping you on the whole sweaty balls fetish you have.

As for me, and I'm from MN and a season ticket holder since 1993. My older family members have had their season tickets since 1961. I also had season tickets for the Twins before moving here a couple years ago. Got rid of those, but still fly back for the Vikings games.

So go back to your ball sucking, or whatever it is you were doing. Get it? "Whatever"...

Viking fans everywhere. This guy will not disappoint. He brings the wood. When he hits you - You go down. I don't care who the running back is. When he hits them they go down. Very smart. Surprisingly covers well and knows his job. He has football speed. Don't let the 4.67 scare you. He ran 4.5 his junior year. He's coming off of a knee injury - He'll BE BACK. You guys got a first rounder in the fifth round. He's a potential All Pro guy.

Thats great, replacing my words for your own gay fantasies. You can claim all you want; and I'm Lucifer, hometown: HELL. I don't care. The only thing Vegas knows about football is, the odds and the over/under. I'm sure you know a lot more about UNDER. Quit Hatin!

HAHAHAHA.......I guess you've never seen him play....Ever since the kid got on a football field thats all he has done... He has done nothing but dominate from Mcduffie county Rec. league, to one of the most dominant high schools in the state of GA then he couldn't be stopped in the SEC and I don't expect him to stop now...He is a steal he has rebounded from his injury and in 5 years everybody in Minn. is going to be saying "how the hell did this guy slip to the fifth round?
