To quote P.A.:
Oh My Heavens!

To get Favre was one thing, but to get Favre AND Moss with that Defense and Adrian Peterson.

WOW.

To quote the '99 Vikings NFL films 'Never Surrender':
These were the same Minnesota Vikings who just one year earlier had treated their fans to one of the greatest seasons in franchise history... Change was in the air... there was just too much talent to waste.

The Vikings come from the Land of Ice and Snow, NOT sunscreen and botox.

what is cement hands robbing ZYG for...around 7mill a season? if we could package him as part of any potential deal, ZYG could tack on another 2 mill for Mossy, sign him for 2 or 3 years ( let him retire as a Vike)and add that pick we got yesterday from the Brownies; then this would be even better...GO VIKES!!!

good post Skeane...gt to give credit where it is due...ZYG might not be from Minne, but the man is willing to spend money and do what it takes for the VIKES to win ( well except Klink...but eveyone has a weak moment) and as hard as it is economically...i hope they find a way to give the fans and the Vikes a new stadium. while i am not from Minne either; as a Vikes fan, i will gladly support any fundraising efforts to keep the Vikes in Minnesota...GO VIKES!!!

I'm all for it so long as they don't do a Hershel Walker type give up the future kind of deal. I would give a 3 or a 4 with throwing Berrian in with the deal.

This is great news if they get this done. Just having Randy on the
field will keep the defense from stacking the line. They are saying Randy has had a slow start this year, but has been three times more effective than Berrian.

I was all for trading Moss away at the time they did, what with the I play when I want to play statement, the incident with the meter-made and then of course the infamous mooning incident in Green Bay. The mooning didn't bother me but the comments he made after the ensuing fine did.(I still can't stand Joe Buck to this day) That said, I'm over it,and would welcome Randy Moss back in a heartbeat. We need him desperatly and the thought of Brette Favre and Randy Moss on the same team should make any football fan salivate.(sorry Packer fans)It would also be fitting for him to retire as a Viking..Git-R-done!!!

This would *almost* get everything into place - one big move left - FIRE CHILDRESS. With all the talent we have and then looking at our games - it HAS to be coaching - has to.

Like Sid said, the Pats only threw one pass to Moss recently and he didn't catch it. Don't get too excited. There's a reason the Pats would want to get rid of Moss. The Vikings haven't figured out that reason in their quest for a quick Super Bowl win. It's probably Favre's last year. He isn't what he once was, and Moss also isn't what he once was.

There must be reasons Moss has been not been thrown to last year or this year. On the
respective teams the brain bank has been on side lines of the Patriots not the Vikes. There has to be a reason he is not getting receptions. Be careful what you wish for in this trade.

"The Vikings play the Patriots on Oct. 31 at New England."

If..........we get Moss he will do damage in that game for sure after being stiffed in the Miami game!

If they were going to get rid of Berrian now they wouldn't have moved Jayme Mitchell. They will keep him as a serviceable #3 receiver at least until Sidney gets back. Berrian can be effective when the pressure is off and the #1 receiver is getting the attention. No question that he is way over paid but he was about all that was available when we got him.

The Vikes' season is toast, this is a desperate act by a desperate team. It is very likely that they could be 2-5 after the next 4 games. It could be that Favre doesn't even finish the season.

Moss is known to be a locker room "cancer" (does anyone remember the locker room fight between Robert Smith and Moss during the 2000 season?), and while his return to MN might reap some immediate rewards... ultimately, the time bomb will explode and the Vikes will be "rebuilding" again, just like after the last time Moss left.

That' all we need here is the nut case. Can't we find a slow white guy with good hands? that way we won't have to hide the woman and children. Bt on the bright side pot sales will go up.

Hiring this ghetto thug is just a desperite effort to get some wins so that we can all buy Ziggy a new stadium next year. Afterall, who wants to build a stadium for a losing team?

It sounds good. I just hope he doesn't decide to take as many "plays off," as he did Monday night against Miami. There he virtually took the whole night off, and never caught one pass, and his feeble attempts at blocking were ridiculous. When he decides to show up for work he's still one of the best, and could be just what this team needs. If not the Vikes would've been better off trading for help on the offensive line to keep Favre in one piece for the whole season.
