Pittsburgh Steelers: Could Mike Wallace Replace Santonio Holmes?

With Santonio Holmes' latest two legal incidents still under the NFL microscope, one member of the Pittsburgh Steelers has a chance to step up big time and knock the former Ohio State receiver back to the ground.

Of course he could, he def. Had an impact last year as a rookie with some excellent catches give him a few years though and hell be great

Wallace ought to totally blossom with all the balls he's going to get thrown his way now. He doesn't seem like a sophomore slump candidate, either--he's got his head on straight.

I would have liked a slightly higher pick, but the more I think about it, the more satisfied I am. Holmes is going to miss the first four games of the season, and maybe more, if he can't pass the next piss test (they're not allowed to divulge the first failed test, so clearly there have been multiple offenses already). His contract is up at the end of the season, so the Jets are just renting him for a maximum of 12 games. I still think a third- or fourth-rounder would have been fairer, but hell, you take what you can get. At least we're rid of the schmuck.
