What an absolute joke Rob Bironas turned out to be. What could have been a huge statement game to begin the year for a DEF that was almost overlooked due to the departure of Albert Haynesworth, was overshadowed by a FG by Jeff Reed to end the game!

One thing people can take from this game however, is that Pittsburgh is not as great as one would think. The Steeler running game was sad. Their passing game was very average. I believe Roethlisberger threw 2 INT's and 1 TD.

He also threw for 363 yards and oh yeah, one more thing. He won!

The game turned out to be a tale of two halves. In the first half, TEN embarassed PIT botH on OFF and DEF. If Bironas was worth anything, TEN could've had the game signed, sealed, and delivered by the 4th qt. But of course, that didnt happen.

Pittsburgh told me one thing tonight. "Running the ball may not be the Steeler way this season."

Props to TEN's DEF tho. Came out and put the boom to a normally strong PIT rush attack.

Great game altogether. Props to PIT. The champs made the plays when they counted most.

Any Steelers / Titans matchup is a bloodbath. This has been going on for as long as I can remember. I remember Rod Woodson coming in untouched on a CB blitz and knocking Warren Moon out cold. You have a legit point about the running game, I've been concerned about it since the preseason. Good to see that Chris Collinstwat still hates the Steelers, he and Michaels were almost unlistenable too last night......to be fair they dis'd the Titans pretty good too.

Fact - that was the first time the Steelers ever beat a team who had Kerry Collins starting at QB.

Haynesworth, If my memory serves, did not play against the Steelers last season, so I am not sure that is a good comparison. The run game for the Steelers, is just about where it was last year...a non-factor. The Steelers were great when they had to be, they got the W. That is the tale of the tape.
