Seems the perfect move for the Ravens. They have met their objective. Same tough defense, new creative offense, best O coordinator in the leaugue. New energized young head coach, players meet O coordinators profile.Young talented O line. If Ryan returns, they will be in the mix next year.

Enough is enough! The Ravens need to admit they jerked him around, give him a few hundred grand raise and the "Assistant Head Coach" title and concentrate on the draft.

Well here we are again, the Sun is a day late as usual with the "news". Yesterday they reported that Ryan had met a few times with the 'Skins, where do they get their info? My suggestion is they change their name to the Baltimore Moon, wait the extra 12 hours and report what HAS happened not WHAT the voices in their heads told them to write. We have some hack "sports journalists" reporting for Baltimore, but if you think about it other than the Ravens there really aren't a lot of sports to be reporting about since the O's stink. You'd think they have plenty of time on their hands to get the story right, do they even let you guys into "The Castle"?

That last quote from Rex is exactly why I want him to come back. He is an outstanding coach with a quiet swagger - he knows he is a good coach but doesn't go out of his way to make it known. He might have a hard time convincing people to give him a head coach job but as soon as he doesn't get it, he is right back into his normal routine, he has never sulked and never will. He's a coach through and through. No matter what negative thoughts some Sun writers have about pairing Harbaugh and Ryan together, I think it is a perfect match. I feel like Ryan will work better with Harbaugh than he did with Billick because they are very much alike in their football beliefs. There are several other teams that want him - that should tell you something. Rex gets back from Mobile today, sit down with him, give him a raise and get him back on the staff as soon as possible.

Does everyone remember a few years ago when Marvin Lewis said he was coming back and then a day or two later he went to the 'skins?

I bet he ends up with the skins. Maybe Ravens could hire Greg Williams.

Let the head coach pick the rest of his staff and start working on making this draft a excellant one by drafting one of the outstanding three QB's in this draft so we can finally have a real one for the future. There are none on the roster now. There are few drafts that have three really good ones like this one. Don't miss the chance for the future. Then actually make some good choices in the 2nd. and 3rd. rounds for a change.

Best O Coordinator in the league?? What are you smoking? He went 1-15 last year as a head coach with the same amount of talent as we have here, and beat us. That makes him the best in the league???? Billick would be a better O coordinator.

rex ryan did talk to the redskins. however in the middle of his conversation with snyder, biscotti came up from behind with a big mac dangling from the end of a fishing pole, casted it in front of ryan who then was unable to concentrate on his phone call and had to hang up. biscotti then walked with his fishing pole in hand into rexs old office with rex not taking his eye off the big mac and drooling all the way. as soon as rex reached his desk biscotti lowered the big mac into rexs mouth which rex swallowed whole and to this day rex denies ever talking to the skins.

Ravens Nation, I am proud of you. Harbaugh, Cameron, and Ryan will lay waste to any opponents put in front of them. Please, Biscotti, give Ryan a raise, change his title, and let's concentrate on what's REALLY important here...the Senior Bowl, the combine, and the DRAFT!

Agree completely - The head coach has to stamp this team as his - If the owner starts naming the guys he works with it won't work - You'll have Pete Angelos all over again - It was bad enough we had to suffer with Brian "Lets let Trent Dilfer Go Completely" Billick the laziest coach in football - Ryan has to gell with the new head coach for it to fit

Additionally, I said this trio would be an amazing fit together for the Ravens a few weeks ago. In all seriousness, only a handful of Coordinators or Coaches can put together as good a defensive unit as Ryan (Fischer, Singletary, Del Rio, Dungy). See the elite defensive company he keeps? And Harbaugh or Biscotti is WAITING for Ryan? I don't understand why I haven't read that Ryan hasn't signed an additional three-year extension worth 3-4.5 million. It's not Rocket Science 101. It's what makes SENSE.

Can't the Chargers block Rivera from coming to the Ravens? Why would SD let him go?

I've seen these comments about Rivera multiple times in the Sun, and not once has the writer mentioned an NFL team's ability to block assistants from leaving for another team when discussing Rivera.
